Satiric Meaning Between Frost? s Poems Robert Frost presents irony and satire in his poems to prove his thesis, in many ways he attacks the subject of his poem and makes it sound absurd or destroys an idea or a saying. In the poems that are described below are all related in some way with satire that Frost uses to convey his message. Which is clear, he is better than everyone he writes about and that?

Mending Wall? the direct comparison is that the speaker Frost is once again trying to defy or destroy habits or sayings, which are passed on through generations using reductio at absurdum? to my opinion Frost is giving his conception about the government and he demoralizes the concept of departments. It? s interpreted by some busy ants that are only interested in their own duty, also when the ants see one of their dead they just carry on with business without an emotion, there is a strong parallelism to the human society. His message is unmistakable when you reach the resolution of the poem: ? It couldn? t be called ungentle.
But how thoroughly departmental. ? You cannot get more satirical then this. He is in both poems making the society around him seem stupid and lost, he feels like he is superior to all others but at the same time he feels rejected and isolated from the world and from himself. In the poem? To E. T. ?

In the beginning it seems to be a simple allege but after third line second stanza you realize that Frost tells about how his friend was a better soldier than a poet and because he has died he is remembered as both. Only after do we realize that the first few lines, he was bored and fell asleep while reading his friends poems. Then he goes on to say that the war seemed over to him more than Frost but next line he says? But now for me than you? the other way?
he is basically saying that he has won he is alive now and still writes. Also the last stanza and last line: ? And see you pleased once more with words of mine? ? his arrogance prevails even in a time of mourning to his best friend.
