The Jane Eyre Jane Eyre The book Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is full of many different themes. Love is the strongest theme in the book. Jane Eyre has a lot of examples how love caused something to happen when it probably would not had happened. Even in the very beginning you can sense how deeply Jane wants to be loved. Jane was an orphan child that lived with her aunt and cousins that treated her very badly. Besides the occasional kindness of the maid Jane knows nothing about being on the inside of the circle.

Throughout her entire stay with her aunt she yearned to be a part of something, to be loved. After Jane leaves her aunts house, she goes to a school for orphans. Here she is also treated with no love. Jane became friends with another little girl there. This was Janes real first friend. Even though things are bad at this school Jane is happy because she is loved.

This dear friend later dies and Jane is heart broken. Jane is given a job on an estate to teach the masters foster child. Jane soon falls in love with her pupil. The master of the house is always traveling and Jane has never seen him. One night Jane goes into town to mail a letter and on her way back she sees a man has fallen off his horse. Jane doesnt think this man is attractive, but she feels something and notices everything about him.

I could see him plainly. His figure was enveloped in a riding cloak, fur collared and steel clasped; its details were not apparent, but I traced the general points of middle height, and considerable breadth of chest. He had a dark face, with stern features and a heavy brow; his eyes and gathered eyebrows looked ireful and thwarted just now; he was past youth, but had not reached middle age; perhaps he might be thirty-five. I felt no fear of him, and but little shyness. The man that was so enticing to Jane was her employer, Rochester.

She instantly fell in love and so did he. Ever since that night they both thought of each other. Rochester tells Jane how Adele came about. Jane also starts hearing strange things on the third floor. Though Rochester loves Jane he throws a house party for another lady. This is to test Janes love.

Jane leaves for a little bit to visit her dying aunt. Her aunt never loved Jane or treated her well but Janes loving nature went back to be with her. Her cousins were too selfish to even see their dying mother. Janes aunt dies unloved. When Jane returns to her work Rochester unleashes his feeling and proposes to her. She says yes of course.

They plan on getting married and being happy forever. Jane, now about to be apart of the elite class, doesnt want to change. Jane liked things before. The day of their wedding a man tells of Rochester's marriage before Jane. Also, they were never divorced and his crazy wife lives in his attic. Janes heart is once again torn apart.

After learning of Rochester's past Jane flees the estate. She arrives at Whitcross and moves into the Moor House. St. John Rivers, the master of the house falls in love with Jane because she is like a dog, obedient. Jane doesnt even care she still loves Rochester. One day St.

John learns Jane inherited 20, 000 pounds from her uncle. Jane appreciation for the Moors house causes her to share the money. Finally Jane goes back to Rochester but only to find the estate burnt down. Rochester's crazy wife died in the fire set by her and Rochester is missing a hand and is blind. Jane finds Rochester because love shows her the way. Jane and Rochester get married, he gains sight in one eye, Adele visits during vacation, and Jane and Rochester have a baby.

The whole story of Jane Eyre is based on love. Everything and anything done during the story was because of the theme of love.
