The death penalty Thousands of innocent people are killed every year in the U. S. , and many murderers of the killed ones get away with a life sentence in prison or even easier punishment. The death penalty has been used since ancient times to punish cruel criminals. The death penalty is not fair in every murder s case but it is appropriate to punish a killer.
Justice can not be served until the debate on capital punishment is resolved and all states have come to agree that the death penalty is the best way to stop crime completely. The death penalty should be legal in all 50 states. Many people think that the death penalty is cruel for the murderers, however, it is also cruel for the relatives and friends of the killed ones. Executing the murderer would give them a bit of ease over the death. Nothing can bring a killed, loved one back, but knowing that the cruel murderer is going to be executed will help the relatives and friends get over the death.
