Educational Conflicts Students nowadays have to face hundreds of educational problems, which are confrontations over many key moral problems of modern society: the choice of a place to study, studying itself, misunderstandings with administration, racial inequality, gender discrimination, human rights violation and others. Choosing future profession is a very important step in everybody's life, thats why if one cant cope with the decision on their own they should consult people who know them best parents, relatives or friends. The educational problem that appears here is forcing offspring to study in the establishments their parents want them to, which may cause great damage to the life of this person and his / her dear and near ones. In addition, in many universities and schools people suffer from discrimination, being judged by their color of skin, place of residence or social status. This problem reaches its highest point when it concerns physical injury, property damage or even death. Such confrontations really have a great influence on peoples personalities, even if they dont touch them directly.
The reason is that the effect of symbolic interactions takes place here. It means, that when people constantly hear that they are the lower class, worse than all the others, they start convincing themselves in that and believing in that. This effect is very dangerous because the process takes place in peoples youth, which is a period of forming ones personal identity and it is very important to mould a strong young character able to cope with all the difficulties and hardships of life. If people are being discriminated in their youth, this may lead to opposition to the society: they may desire revenge and become deviant or just vice versa become reserved and conservative. In both cases ones personal I is being hurt. Sometimes it is important to find people to support you and try to struggle for your rights together.
When people organize in groups and demand their rights to be observed, they are more likely to achieve their goal than mere individuals. When people gather together for a certain aim they first of all have to decide which methods they are going to use to achieve it, but at that it is necessary to draw a distinction between long-term underlying conflicts and short disputes. Best of all is to start with stating your demands. This item is very important because if your demands are too high they might be considered hard or impossible to satisfy, so the goal might not be accomplished. Thats why it should be done gradually not to shock the opponent. After that it is reasonable to start negotiations.
On this stage it is necessary that each side listened carefully and took into consideration what their opponents are talking about, otherwise they would not be able to come to an agreement. As to the moral or personal side of this, the most important thing is to find strength and willingness to help yourself because one cant get any result without a desire to get it. In addition it is critical to be courageous and not to be afraid of the result whatever it is. You should at least give it a try; sitting and twiddling your thumbs is the easiest way out.
Its not a way out at all, to be more exact. Peoples destiny has a lot of bad moments to present during their lifetime and it is crucial to be always ready to fight. Educational conflicts are only the first stage, the preparatory period, and the rehearsal of real life, which should be taken as prime experience. If you want to succeed in life, you should be a fighter (in the best meaning of this word). Actually, such conflicts are a problem, but a good one. Our life, God or whatever show forbearance to us: they give us a test to prepare us for the reality of harsh life and its essential to get an A+ not to be disappointed in the future.
