Elvis Presley vs. Whitney Huston Elvis Presley was born in 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee, in a poor family. He had a twin brother, who died at birth. He started playing guitar at the age of 11. In 1953 he recorded his first songs at Sun Records and soon musical producers recognized the talent of Presley.
