Going into surgery knocked out by an anesthetic is like stepping on to an airplane, because you are temporarily putting your life into what you hope are trained professionals. Anesthesia has revolutionized the way we look at surgery. Hundreds of new, better and safer anesthetics have been introduced in the past 40 years. Just think of how it would be to be one of the doctors to bring one those new advances into the world. How many millions of people would you be helping? The fact is, is that we don't know any more now about anesthetics now than we did 150 years ago when we first started using them. This experimentation was not just in the labs of the scientists; most of the testing was done at frat parties. Students would use the gasses to put themselves into a wonderful painless bliss. The reason that I mostly want to be in the medical field is to help other people. I believe that if I try hard enough that I might be able to find other cures and other process to help the body and mind in a less painful way than the things that can be offered in today's medical world. If I could find just one way to help other people that hasn't been conjured up yet the effects that I could possibly have not just on the medical world but on the world itself. I just get all tingly inside thinking of all the people I could give joy and happiness to, just by making their life less painful for them to live.
This is a greater service to man than any other occupation. If it is kids that you specifically want to help than this is the job for you. There is a branch of the anesthetic field that is geared toward kids infants and small children. You need to be a very special person to do this kind of work, it takes lots of patients and time. The kids are different some times they can't speak or they can't explain what they are feeling and you have to interoperate what they are saying. But to just see that sparkle in the eyes of a child that you know and spend time with, you know that they are now painless and free and it is because of you.
There is no greater reward in the world; money can't buy that feeling. Schooling is a drag; I looked into it on the net. And it takes just a bit longer than it would normally take a person to get their masters degree. You need to go to a good four-year collage, and after that you have to be excepted into a medical school. Once into o medical school it takes a normal person three years to get a medical degree. You then need to go do you internship at a hospital in witch most of the time you school will set up for you.
During this period you get paid minimum wage as a nurse or an assistant, but you get worked to the bone. They really mess up your schedule and try to work you out of the job. They figure if they can get you to quit then they don't have to put up with you and if you stick it out you are more likely to be a good doctor in the future. You get to help lots of different people possibly millions every day. If you have the desire to work with children than this is the best occupation to do so. If you want to change the world you have a chance to do that in a lab. Not to mention that the money that you will be making is that of about 250, 000 on average per year. I personally know a doctor that makes over 500, 000 a year and he is going to go back to school to get his M. D.
degree and become a family physician.
