The word 'home' is something that is often misunderstood. Home makes up your identity and not many people know that. Therefore you ask me, 'what is home?' Home is not just in your house. Home is a place that surrounds you. It's you environment and cause for emotions. Your home is where you are with the people that surround you (peers, family, and strangers), as well as cars, houses, stores, and / or toys.

All of these things (people, buildings, playful objects, and nature) are the components that make up a home. Some people don't have all of those things in their home though. A homeless man has no house to live in whereas a rich man has a beautiful house to his or her accommodations as well as anything that will make him or her happy. This also explains the question, 'where is home?' Home has no exact place to be. Your home can be on the opposite side of someone else's home. You can even share the same home with family members that live with you, even though they see it different than you.

That is because you don't share the same emotions. Emotions are expressed differently through each person because of their life experiences. A young child could be laughed at at school, while their brother or sister (s) isn't laughed at. The result for that is that they could live in the same home, but be different people in their personalities.

The word 'personalities' is often mixed up with the word 'identity. ' The way a person is treated affects their personalities. Not really their identities. People often mistake home as a place where you are always happy to be around the people you live with, or live around and talk to on a regular basis. That is not completely true, however. A teenager can be used as a great example of this. Most teenagers don't get along with their parents because of their desire to be free.

This is a stereotype however, meaning not all teenagers feel this way. This leads to my point, which is that home varies from person to person even though some can be alike most are different. Home creates you identity because you learn from your surroundings even before you start to go to school. When you are young playing with friends and then fall and scrap your knee, you learn from that. It might take some time, but you eventually learn that that hill is too steep, or that toy is too much for you to handle. When you learn from you surroundings, you think of why you do the things you do.

If you grow up in a neighborhood where people surround you with their friendship and love, then you will most likely be a caring person. But if you grow up where you are often ignored and try to be important, then you will most likely be passive and struggle for attention to a point where you don't even realize you " re struggling for attention. A way to take a closer look at how home affects your personality / identity; you have to look at the structure of how a home is created. Your parent's personalities are the first basis for how you live. The way they live is the first things you will see and learn from before you can actually acquire your own identity / personality. You learn most things from you parents before you realize anything on your own.

Can a home be destroyed? No: that's for two reasons. The first reason is because your home is always around you, and it's only a place for you. It doesn't exactly exist because it's a state of being and not a physical item. Something that is not real cannot be destroyed.

Another reason home cannot be destroyed is because it's also the exact opposite: it is real. Included in your home are real people and real houses. These things can only be destroyed if they died or no longer existed. The role home plays in my identity are as a creator's role to his or her creation. Home created me. My home created me, just as your home created you.

This is the same for home's role in life. It makes up life. Your life is in a home no matter how far away you are or how much you travel. But, if a home creates you and makes up your life and identity, what if you move? Home is what you are surrounded by, and in the case of you moving, that's when you bring your identity to your home. It's also a time where you have to compromise with your new surroundings and your identity / personality.

When a person moves into a new home, they can sometimes feel 'home-sick' because they " re somewhere that they aren't used to. Home sick simply means to miss your home badly enough to want to go back. If you " re going to college, the last thing you should let happen if you get home-sick is go back to living with your parents because living alone or in a home with new people you didn't know previously (and / or with some you knew before) is a chanced that was missed for you to create your home because you have an identity already. You acquire freedom not only by being independent and on your own, but also by creating your own home to match a beautiful style in your eyes. Your identity can change when you move away from your original home because of the freedom you have acquired. You parents created the home you lived in originally.

They physically put all of the objects you grew up with in the home. Now that you " re on your own, you get to create a home that matches only your identity. You get to start over by creating something that had created you, and that your parents created. In conclusion, home is a very important part of living because it makes you who you are today. If there were no such thing as home, there'd be no such thing as life.
