How is Porn Beneficial to Us? How Can It Help Us? The present research is devoted to the discussion of the pornography as a notion from the new viewpoint not from the negative one, as it used to be for many years, but from the more objective viewpoint, which will look at porn as a culture, and as a notion which has both positive and negative sides. The paper is to be concentrated more on the positive effects that porn may bring. It has been for years, that pornography has been considered one of the most negative phenomena in the modern human culture, and the reasons for considering it negative were various. On the one hand, porn was always supposed to be a probable cause for the high levels of rapes and violence in relation to women, on the other hand, porn was always considered to spread sadomasochism, anal sex and other kinds of untraditional sex which are inappropriate in the traditional sex culture.
Porn was rarely looked at as a possible positive phenomenon, but it is the reality, that as anything in this world, porn has both positive and negative sides. Porn is considered as an integral part of the modern culture, so what benefits can it bring to the modern society? First of all, it should be remembered, that there is always a great number of people, who cannot find sexual fulfillment, thus, porn may be one of the best ways out for them. Despite the traditional opinion that porn becomes the main cause for rapes and violence in terms of women, porn may bring sexual satisfaction to those who can't find it in reality with a woman or man. I here speak about both men and women, as women are usually supposed to be against pornography as a whole, while men suppose pornography to be one of the best parts of the modern culture. This is just a look from the other side of the wall, porn may only raise the desire of those who watch it alone to find the object of real sexual satisfaction, and possibly in reality, there are more men who will behave this way, rather than watch the porn with simultaneous satisfying their physical sexual needs and feeling ease; the truth is that pornography really gives satisfaction to those who can't find it with real people and this is one of the first its benefits.

As Michaels writes, ' when you have been with someone for a long time, that sex can become absent or scarce'. (Michaels, 2003) In such situation pornography is the best way for refreshing the sexual relations of the couple, finding the new positions which will bring pleasure and satisfaction to both. The role of the porn in solution of sexual problems should not be underestimated, as it is often with married couples, - they can't talk about their problems with a specialist openly, and porn becomes their one and only way out. It is well known, that sex and money are the two most widely spread reasons for divorce, and thus solving the problems of sex between the two people will probably save many marriages. On the other hand, in such situations men will often use pornography to make a woman have sex with them the way A MAN wants, which will for sure be painful and unpleasant to a woman, and such situations are not rare. Jensen says: 'in society in which power is not equally distributed, "anything goes" translate into "anything goes for men, while some women and children will suffer for it. ' What I mean here is that porn might be used as a possible way for solving MEN'S problems, but this opinion should be denied and opposed to.
Porn is not only a negative phenomenon, and should be viewed from the position that it really solves sexual problems of many people, and it is not a public concern, in what way and how the two people will like to satisfy their sexual needs. Jensen uses the following expression in his article: ' women are not really people; they are three holes and two hands. Women in pornography have no hopes, no dreams, and no value apart from the friction those holes and hands can produce on a man's penis'. His opinion is opposed by Michaels: 'porn makes people see how a woman can be beautiful while she is having sex with a man. ' Michaels writes about sex with A man, with one man, is implied, but what we usually see in porn movies, is women having sex with two, three men, and we often watch women feeling pain and disgust, no matter how sweetly she might smile So, does porn change the opinion about women being just a sexual object? Both yes and no, and these 'yes' and 'no' are have just been expressed through the two quotations of the two different authors. The main conclusion here is that the society should stop viewing porn as totally negative phenomenon, though of course, there should be created strict regulations in terms of child porn, and other related criminal actions.
