We think of the value of human life as something un disputable, but nature has a different opinion about it. Therefore, it was not simply a coincidence that in 1998, people in Congo felt an irresistible urge to shed blood their instinct of death began to motivate all their actions. A woman must make known her point of view, her aspirations, her vision, her needs. She must be represented in decision-making (Kifungo). This article was written in 2005, which is very indicative, because, prior to the war, these progressive thoughts would never occur to Kifungo, as their practical realization would have been impossible. It is understood that economic poverty prevents the majority of women in Congo from thinking about anything but where to get food.

Apparently, Kifungo does not belong to this type of women, because it is highly improbable that she would be talking about womens empowerment on empty stomach. Her article, while containing many valuable advices as to what women in Congo need to do to have their opinions heard, also provides us with insight on why the establishment of gender equality in Congo is still long way off. Kifungo operates with terminology that does not relate to the realities of womens living in Congo. Empowerment, transition decision-making, consensus these are the terms that were invented by Liberal politicians, in order to sound sophisticated, while holding speeches. Therefore, they can be hardly applicable in Congo, where people eat cockroaches and trees bark just to be able to survive. This brings us to the discussion of economic impact of Congolese civil war on women.

It appears that many women in Congo fear hunger much more then they fear physical and sexual violence, on the part of their husbands. Under Belgian rule, Congo was one of the most prosperous countries in Africa, along with South African Republic and Rhodesia. Thus, we can say that the national-liberation movement in Congo really did liberate ordinary citizens. It liberated them from their food, as well as it liberated them from their dignity of human beings. In his article Here be Cannibals: Recent Cannibalism in African Congo, Adrian Blomfield provides us with a chilling account of cannibals in action: From her hiding place in the woods outside the Congolese town of Bunch, Ruta Bonabingi watched as militiamen roasted and then ate the severed arms of her dying daughters.

It was the horrifying finale to 48 hours of terror for Ruta and her family (Blomfield, 2003). The unimaginable poverty affects women much more then men, because, apart from feeding themselves, they also have to feed their children. Periodically, Western Medias show us the pictures of children-skeletons in Congo, which do not even have strength to chase flies away from their faces. These pictures are being accompanied with pleas for financial donations from people who are naive enough to believe that their money will actually be used to help women and children in Congo. There can be no doubt that the fact that many women and children in Congo experience constant hunger cannot be ignored by international community.

However, it is also a fact that continuous financial infusions in Congolese economy, on the part of Western countries, did not change situation for better. As we have mentioned earlier, Western socio-political concepts do not apply in the heart of darkness, as Joseph Conrad used to refer to Congo. The reason why Belgians were able to maintain social order in Congo is that they were not interested in getting down to the details of inter-tribal relationships between Blacks. For them, native Congolesians were the people from another world - respected but never viewed as equal.

In his book The Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad provides us with the insight on European attitudes, in regards of Africa, at the turn of 20 th century: The prehistoric man was cursing us, praying to us, welcoming us who could tell? ... They howled and leaped, and spun, and made horrid faces; but what thrilled you was just the thought of their humanity like yours the thought of your remote kinship with this wild and passionate uproar (Conrad). This passage contains a clue as to the fact that prospects of social and cultural progress in Congo relate to existential potential of Black people. In the last part of this paper, we will develop this thesis further, because it is directly linked with social and biological role of women in this country. (3) Let us begin from afar.

It does not really matter that the half of Congolesians starve and that inflation in this country reaches 3000 % a year the geopolitical potential of Congo continues to rise, because there are no people in this country unfit for survival. The average age of Congo's population is 20 years, which means that this nation is among the youngest in Africa and in the whole world and that, it is biologically competitive. In Western countries, on the other hand, the half of young peoples income is being taken away from them in taxes, in order to support aging White folks in assisted living facilities, who are burdened with their own existence and who have absolutely no social value. In his article Population Explosion Threatens to Trap Africa in Cycle of Poverty, Xan Rice discusses population boom in Africa in negative terms: By 2050, Congo, Chad, Mali, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Burundi and Malawi - all among the poorest nations in the world - are projected to triple in size. Author quotes Uganda's Minister of Finances Jotham Musinguzi, who is very concerned about the demographic trends in Africa: Whats happening is alarming and depressing, are we really going to be able to give these extra people jobs, homes, healthcare and education? There is no reason for young Congolese men to look for jobs, healthcare and education in Congo or other African countries, for that matter all these things are easily available in Europe, U. S. , Canada and Australia. All it takes for Congolese man is to sneak to France, apply for refugee status and to start celebrating diversity, while relying on welfare checks, as the source of income. This is very smart way of living. Of course, it is becoming increasingly harder for Africans to sneak to Europe or U.

S. , because borders are now being heavily guarded. However, this is the case of quantity prevailing over the quality. Population boom in Congo and in Africa, in general, is nothing but the way Black race strives to insure its biological survival. The more primitive does not necessarily means worse. It is actually other way around. Out of one million of Africans headed for Europe, ten will be able to get through the border and that all that matters.

Once in Europe, they will begin creating their own society, within a society. Given the fact that White people rarely have more than one child in the family, it will only be a matter of time, before Europe will turn into one big Congo. National identity is not defined by geographical boundaries but by racial affiliation. Jews used to be dispersed around the world for two thousands of years, but in 1949, they headed to Palestine and created the state of Israel, simply because they gradually became the dominant ethnic group in the region. In 1950, there was only one Albanian family living in Kosovo. By year 2000, Albanians constituted 80 % of Kosovo's population.

In 2008, Kosovo declared independence from Serbia. It appears that Congolese people have embarked on the same course of action, which is perfectly understandable, because humans are just as subjected to the evolutionary concept of survival of the fittest, as any other living organisms. While complaining that they are the victims of European colonialism, Congolesians proceed with colonization of Europe. Whites think that, once they have accepted the historical guilt over Black slavery and other unsightly things, the issue has been automatically resolved and that nothing will prevent people from building a multicultural utopia now.

To this we can only say ignorance is bliss. Thus, we can conclude that the social value of Congolese women is not as much related to their education, their professional adequacy or their ability to replace men, during the time of war, but to their ability to give birth to as many children as possible. As we have mentioned earlier, it is very hard for Congolesians to cherish their national identity in Congo, because there, they are being separated by tribal factions. It is only in foreign countries that Congolesians associate themselves with Congo more then with any particular tribe that they belong to. Instead of referring to Congo as sovereign nation, we should refer to it as nation in making. It is not a coincidence that Congolese men talk about their country as mother.

They think of Congo as starting point. However, only very few of them associate their future with living in this country. We can also say that it is a female psyche that defines Congolese mens existential mode, as majority of them are highly superstitious individuals, ruled by emotions. The realization of this fact, cause them to feel psychologically inadequate, which is the reason why they engage in acts of violence against women they strive to assert their masculinity, which they cannot posses in principle, because of their inability to operate with abstract categories (low IQ). Unlike White women, who think of raising children as pleasant duty, Congolese women consider children as nothing but a burden, which is exactly the reason why Congolese nation is biologically competitive. It simply cannot be otherwise in the country ravaged by civil war.

When it comes to insuring the survival of the nation, the notion of quantity assumes qualitative properties. If feminists and progressive politicians succeed in turning Congo into egalitarian country, it will deprive Congolese nation of its biological vitality.
