The following paper is designed in order to discuss the Effects of the Guest Worker Immigrants in the United States. We will consider the question of legal and illegal immigration and how it is connected with the guest workers, list the laws the United Stated has for guest workers and will give the recommendation. Effects of the Guest Worker Immigrant in the United States A lot of people from different countries come to the United States in search for their good future. There exists an opinion that living in the United States is like a paradise.
United States of America is like a trade mark for the immigrants, who believe that it is the only country that will help them to realize themselves. The Government of the country is aware of the fact that people from other countries need a job for even for money that is not so big for the United States in comparison to other countries. And so the United States Government tries to have a mutual advantage of this situation inviting people from other countries to work in the USA temporary. However, this question still remains uncertain and contradictory. I would like to consider if inviting foreign people to work have positive effects for the United States. (Super, 2001) The presidents of the United States together with other senators promote legislation to confer some kind of guest worker. On the one hand, many people think that all those bills should not be accepted, because they consider them to be immoral.
When they invite people from other countries to the United States they show them that they are fit only for obsequious jobs Americans. When foreigners start working in the United States at first they get miserable paying for the work they do. There is no expectation that you will rise up the economic and social ladder. But on the other hand United States does not always assume the staying of the immigrants in the country longer than their working term presupposes. There are a lot of bills all over the country which regulate rights of the guest worker. There are points when the foreigner can be expelled from the work and deported back to his country where he will continue his life in poverty.
The bottom line in all of them is almost the same. It says that the Americans are not equal in their rights with other people who came from other countries to earn money. These laws are too strict for immigrants and they sometimes have negative effect on the America itself. Indeed, America is a country that invites immigrants who arrived there legally and who comply with their laws and Constitution, who understand and can freely speak their language. Such people begin their career with low-paid jobs. But such people have a chance to rise into a middle class and realize their dream. ("An Agency Rife with, " 2006) Such countries as Germany and France showed their folly of a guest worker economy.
Immigrants do low-paid jobs. But now there are a lot of people in these countries who dont absorb. People do not agree with the social welfare system. Such people become more dangerous every year. ("Do Borders Matter to, " 2004) The guest worker is unfair to the millions of people who did not agree with immigration laws of the United States. Such people stay in a line to get the free residence in the United States. The Government is troubled because of the situation with illegal residents which remained in the country after their term of work is over.
Opening the borders for illegal immigrants often means giving up on the war on drugs, because most illegal drugs come over the border and then are distributed all over the country. There is an opinion that legal immigrants must be healthy where they cross the border. But illegal ones do not undergo a health test. So, they can be reasons of many diseases which are in the country. Also it is impossible to keep the records of these people if they are criminals. ("Do Borders Matter to, " 2004) So I think that Government should take some serious measures concerning guest workers immigrants to improve their effects on the country. The laws concerning them must be fairer in order to have mutual advantage.
Also it is needed to closely supervise the immigrants movement in order not to have illegals. However, it is up to everyone to decide whether to lead a life of immigrant or not. There are a lot of possibilities to have a nice life in your own country where you will be respected and there is no guarantee that you will have a better live abroad. Nobody will look at you as if you are an alien.
Your country is your home we must be proud of it. Everyone must do everything possible to make his own country be respected. Escaping from problems at home and going abroad in search of good life and a great number of possibilities to realize yourself there is not a way out.
