Lastly is the media tool of newspaper. Although most people assume that a newspaper must be pure facts, it is obvious that any article can be biased. From sports to world events anything can contain someones personal opinions and influence someone elses. Newspapers can also be helpful.
Children achieve more success in early reading skills if they have experience with books and other print media, and were read to as preschoolers. (Comstock, 1991) In conclusion, it would be foolish to say that media has a minimal impact on peoples values and opinions. Naturally, the more informed a person is the better decision they can make, but the problem arises when we consider where we get our information. Therefore, it would probably benefit people greatly if they were very careful about what they read, see, or hear. To trust everything is to be nave and that can be very dangerous.
