My name is Morgause, but you can call me Morgan. My family and I come from Egypt. An ancient land filled with mysteries and great ancient history of faro's, tombs and buried treasure. I love Egypt, and mostly I miss it a lot.
Now I live in Germany. My parents wanted to move here and they wanted me to study German. They never ever told me why, all they said was that that was their wish and I shouldnt question it, and I didnt, even though I wanted to know so badly. My family was really close; we never kept secrets from each other. So the only thing on my mind was if they were keeping a something from me. Why would we ever move away from Egypt?
Why did we have to move to Germany? Why did we have to move at all? Germany is a great place, but for the Germans. My mom loved Egypt too, so why did she sacrifice it to move here? It just couldnt get off my mind. Ive been thinking about it for weeks and weeks, but it seemed that I would never be able to figure it out.
This wasnt my only problem. I dont really like Germany; its a whole lot different from what Im used to. Something keeps my heart and mind in Egypt- the ancient civilization. The Great Pyramid.
It reminded me of the hard work the ancient Egyptians had to face on a daily bases, to build amazing things like that. Ive always been interested in ancient history, Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece; I just enjoy studying ancient times. I would like to visit Rome someday. I also love to travel. New and exciting places, and again, I love ancient cities and countries like Italy and Greece. Its my second year here in Germany.
I have no idea how fast those 2 years passed by. Germany is a pretty good place to live if you get used to it, but I cant. I had a really hard time learning the language. German didnt make any sense for me and my parents said that normal, but again I dont think so. I know this Egyptian girl at school; at least I think shes Egyptian. She never talks to me, and when shes with her friends, she ignores me completely.
Shes a few years younger than me, but I never saw a 10 year old acting so snobby and mean. She once told me that she was Egyptian and that was it. I went home and told my parents and it turned out they new hers. The told me all they know about her and thats why I hate he now! She was born In Germany and lived her whole life here. Im 100 % sure that she speaks German perfectly, but Im not so sure about Egyptian.
Her parents though are 100 % Egyptian and theyre pretty nice. I think shes adopted, since she is so mean and her parents are the greatest parents ever! When her friends arent around she wants to hand out with me, and I know she just uses me. Sometimes she can be extremely nice, only if you do what she tells you to. If you follow her rules, shell be nice, and if you dont, she makes your life miserable, and I mean miserable! She always tells people what to do, every second of the time, and surprisingly they listen to her.
If youre her friend and after time, she doesnt like you anymore, she starts spreading rumors about you and telling people not to be your friend. I cant take it anymore! This is every day. Ill just tell her all the things I think about her, Ive tried it once, but she told her parents, and thats when they started being mean to me too.
Her parents tell my parents and I get in trouble. She does bad things all the time to me and I dont tell my parents. I feel silly, going up to them and telling them what happened today in school and stuff. Im not a baby and I can handle it all by myself. I thought it was the right thing to do, but I turned out wrong. And I stopped feeling silly and started telling my parents too.
This didnt work out either. My parents said that they didnt want to ruin their good friendship with the other family. After time my mom got tired too, they talk about me every day! So my mom called the mean girls mom and told her. Her mom seemed surprised. She said shell take care of it, but then it even got more terrible than ever before.
The girl started calling me a baby, because I told my parents! I knew this would happen, I just wasnt sure when. And when she tells her parents, I dont call her a baby and she doesnt thinks shes one, but suddenly when I tell mine she just laughs at me! After all, I told myself that I shouldnt care about her family anymore, and started ignoring her too.
I stopped talking to her, stopped answering the phone when she calls, I pretended she didnt exist and I was happier that way. When she saw Ive stopped talking to her, she got mad and tried to apologize, but I know her apologies- they last only a day and then she goes back to normal. I told her that I never wanted to see her again, and that was it. Enough about that crazy girl, Im happy because my summer vacation starts tomorrow. I am quite excised since I am going back home (only for the vacation) in Egypt. Today is my last day of school.
I will miss going to school here, but since I dont have a whole lot of friends here, I dont care. I took my photo camera to school with me today, because I want to show my real friends in Egypt, what was it like here in this school. I took pictures of the playground, classrooms, desks, everything you can think of. Now I am getting impatient because its 7: 10 a. m.
and school ends in 1: 30 p. m. , and after that Ill go to the huge airport at 5: 45 and at 6 oclock my plane to Egypt takes off. Im still in school right now though, sitting at my desk, pretending to listen to the teacher and the other kids talking to each other and not saying a word to me.
