A beaker of some unknown chemical bubbled ominously on the corner burner, when I walked into the room. I starred at the green chemical as it bubbled like crazy. I was getting closer to see why it was bubbling. No one was in the room when I walked in, so that was kind of od 01 d. I rubbed my eyes to see if I was still sleeping, but it was still there. I looked at it, and then I walked over slowly, to get a better look at the unknown chemical.
All of a sudden the lights went out and, the substance started glowing brighter and brighter. The chemical seemed too becoming to life and began to move. It got brighter and brighter, closer and closer, and it seemed to be coming after me, glowing and making screaming noises. Then all of a sudden it jumped up like it was trying to attack me, and then I woke up. "AAHH. It was just a dream, " I told myself, confused out of my mind with sweat dripping down my face. "But it felt so real!" I turned and looked at the clock that said 5: 51 am. I sighed, hoping it was still dark and late so that I wouldn't have to get up and ready for school, but I was wrong. "Huh, looks like I have to get ready for school. " I jumped in the shower, jumped out, got dressed, put on my make-up, blow-dried my hair, and then brushed my teeth.
I grabbed my backpack and purse and just when I was getting ready to go to the bus stop, the phone rang. "Hello?" I asked. "Is this Mary?" the unknown caller asked. "No, this is her daughter Madison", I answered. "How may I help you? "My name is Cindy. I'm a very close friend to your mother, " she answered. "I'm calling to see if your mother is okay or not, " she exclaimed. "My mother is fine, why?" I replied. "Oh, well in the paper it said your mother died the 18 th of April, but it is only the 17 th, so I kind of got worried, " she said. "Well you must have the wrong paper, because my mother is a alive and healthy, and if this is some kind of joke to make me upset and worried, then you have the wrong number, because I'm not falling for it. Good-bye!" I yelled, and slammed the phone down as I walked out to the bus. "Some people are naturally dumb!" I told myself, laughing out the door. On the bus ride to school I kept thinking about what the woman on the phone had said to me. I got so frustrated that I told myself to look out the window and find something else to take my mind off of her. When I glanced over, out the window, and saw an old woman who was sitting in a rocking chair in the middle of a vacant lot.
I asked myself why she was just sitting there. A girl next to me heard what I said out loud and told me the women's name is Mrs. Witter men. "How do you know that woman?" I asked, interested. "That vacant lot used to be her yard and house, " the girl replied. "Oh, what is your name?" I asked, with an uneasy voice. "My name is Stacy, but in my first life I was Kaitlin, " the weird girl said. "Your second life?" I said, telling myself this girl must watch a lot of sci-fi movies. "What happened to her house?" I wondered. "Oh, she died years ago and the government took her land and made a Wall- Mart out of it, " the girl replied. "Ha hah, you " re joking right?" I replied, laughing my head off. "No, I'm not. I know she is dead because she was in the paper the other day. But the weird thing it that the paper said that she died yesterday, " said Kaitlin, or is it Stacy
