This story is about a boy name Benjamin and his adventure. In this book there was a great city and a fire destroyed it. The only survivors were mutants that eat people. The mutants god is a librarian. Benjamin is out to find a cure for the people who live in a colony that was not destroyed but the great fire. The children of his colony are sick and 2 have died.
His mission was to find a cure for these children. A man came to the colony and he told Benjamin about a girl who cures dieses. The girls name is the daughter-of-shew-came-after. Benjamin found her in the forest and brought her to the colony she was not able to cure the children but she did help them a little.
Benjamin could not bare to see his sister die so he went to the city to go find a cure in the university there. Benjamin knew that his father would not allow him to do this so he said he had to go drop off daughter-of-shew-came-after. So he was off to his great adventure. Daughter-of-shew-came-after also went with and saved his life from the mutants. Then the two found the library but it was no help there were only books that told about the cures. There was a librarian who lived there who tried to have them killed by the mutants but they got away.
On there way back to the colony Benjamin got very sick and they had to stop. Daughter-of-shew-came-after saw a hose and the people who lived there were very kind and helped him. The told Benjamin what caused the children to get sick. It was a peddler and the peddler was carrying a disease and the children caught it from him. Benjamin went back to the city and he told the people how the children got sick and they slowly stared finding cures and rebuilding their world.
Daughter-of-shew-came-after returned to her people and learned the ways of the healer. THE END
