Samsung Electronics Leading the Pack Samsung is a multinational corporation originally based in Korea. Founded in nineteen thrifty-eight by Byung-Chull Lee, the conglomerates roots were in the exportation of dried fruits, vegetables and fish from Korea to Manchuria. Its hard to believe that one of the worlds electronic superpowers began with a guy driving a truck full of dried goods around the Korean countryside.
