In this world that revolves around us, there are leaders and there are followers. The leaders are the most influential people in the world, and they run the world of today. It has been stated that it is not you who chooses whether you are a leader or a follower, either you have a high self-esteem or you dont. Yet Adolf Hitler was not a part of the people born in the eighty's. Adolf Hitler was rated one of the greatest orators within the century (1900 - 2000). In that he influenced all of Germany to join together and work for a common goal.
This type of thinking is used everywhere when it comes to leaders and followers. For example, in the classroom, there are teachers and there are students, the students obey, and listen, while the teachers preach. First of all the majority of the people alive today agree that Adolf Hitler was a bad influence on this century. But, that doesnt mean that he wasnt the greatest orator or one of them to live within the past one hundred years. To think of how much of an impact Adolf made on these German families to get them to kill, lie, and cheat for him. The German families were so confident of Adolf that they put their lives in his hands, they let him use them to get what he wanted to achieve.
Hitlers goal was to get rid of all Jewish people, and they followed his command by carrying out his orders. Adolf Hitler was a true leader, with his confidence, focus he had to achieve what he wanted to. This type of leadership is shown to us everyday, just in a different form. To find a leader all you must do is look around, parents and children are a great example of leaders and followers.
When you see children playing sports or, playing with toys, it is because the parent influenced them to do something other than raise parents blood pressure. When you talk about parents and children, you see a leader and a follower, the parent will teach and show the children how to do things, then the children will sometime follow parents around the house and do what the parents are doing. This is a good example of learning. This shows you how the parent and the child work together to get through life, and enjoy the good times in life. Another good case of leaders and followers are teachers and students. The teacher will come in, greet the class, and begin to instruct.
Those who are listening are following the teacher; those who are not will be reprimanded, and then will follow the teachers orders. Both in school and out of school students will take orders from teachers, by doing there assigned work. By occupying a position in a school you are taking on Leadership, that consist of responsibility for the children, ability to lead them to the right direction as they grow older, and teach the children good morals and ethics that they can use in there everyday life. This is a good example of leadership in the classroom, but the leader and the follower are more evenly expressed in a pharmaceutical corporation.
In a big business such as Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation there are many different ways to show leaders versus followers. There are many different positions that can be acquired here, but the leaders are the ones who get paid the most. There are twenty different pay levels at Novartis; the first three levels are for the followers, or labor workers. The other seventeen pay levels are for the (PR, VP, EX, D, VD, AD) people that lead the labor workers. This proves the point that leaders are better than followers, they hold more power by having more responsibility for actions taken place within their work field. By having so much power Novartis can control workers easier, and get the work done by having more supervision, and having managers that specialize in there own separate fields.
This is a great way to show people working together to achieve a common goal. In conclusion to the leaders and the followers, everywhere you look you will find a follower, but it takes a real person to be a leader. To be a leader you must be focused, and understand what you are working for and who you are working for. You are working to better yourself to reach the goals and pleasures you want to receive. Along the way to being a successor of leading you must follow the rules. If you break the rules you will be punished, possibly if the violation is bad enough it could affect your life by taking you out of work.
