Hitler We all know Hitler was a powerful leader and discriminated against the Jewish, but there were other things that people never knew about him. He never had a sense of belonging, and now being the most powerful man in Germany, he was in control. Shortly after Hitler s trial for treason, there was much controversy about why he was left free so quickly and did not serve his full sentence. People were outraged that a cold-blooded murderer could be let free and actually had people supporting him.

You will hear from Hitler himself, and learn how Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were so much alike during this terrible war. Why did Hitler get so hateful and why didn t the Germans object to this murderous war? Hitler disliked the Germans, as we know, and wanted them all dead. The discrimination called for a war in which every Jewish person living was to be beaten, fed close to nothing, no showers, and murdered in cold blood. Hitler claimed the Jewish were a parasite in the body of other nations (Hitler; p. 290) and thought the Jews were responsible for all the evils that had hit Germany- defeat of in war, revolution, economic collapse, and Marxism. This hatred showed through his orders as a powerful leader and the Jewish suffered through many years of physical and psychological pain which will be instilled in them for as long as they live.

There was one man in particular that Hitler hated which was Joseph Stalin. They were two men who were on opposing sides and both of their rises to power were achieved by the same ideas and politics. Hitler and Stalin both rose to the highest position possible in their own countries, and both men were skilled users of propaganda. They used their minds to twist and manipulate the minds of people into believing that what they were saying was the truth. They both wanted to restore their countries after World War I and wanted to be the most powerful country. The form of propaganda Hitler used was his words.

Hitler made many speeches, but the one that was a famous one, was his final speech at his trial for treason. In this speech he gave his opinions about what went on after the trial. This is an excerpt from his speech: I aimed from the first to. Become the destroyer of Marxism You might just as well find us guilty a thousand times, but the goddess of the eternal court of history will smile and tear up the motions of the states attorney and the judgment of this court; for she finds us not guilty. After he made this speech, the court felt sympathetic for him and only sentenced him for five years in prison for his crime. Shortly after nine months of serving his sentence, he received parole.

Since Hitler and Stalin were able to manipulate people with their propaganda, they could convince people of just about anything. They would do whatever they thought necessary to further their cause, with absolutely no remorse about what they had done. Adolf stated a line: The art of propaganda lies in understanding the emotional ideas of the great masses and finding, through a psychologically correct form, the way to the attention and thence to the heart of the broad masses. What he is trying to say is that you have to know how to play with people s minds and make them convinced that what you re saying is true through emotions and facial expressions.

All Hitler and Stalin wanted to do was to get their countries back to normal because of their suffering from the war. After World War I, Germany had 7, 142, 558, and Russia had 9, 150, 000, plainly seeing that both countries had a huge loss. Hitler influenced many Nazis to follow his orders and kill as many Jewish as possible. He wanted to wipe a whole race of people and be the most powerful race of all in Germany. Lily Slacman, a holocaust survivor, states: This is our reason for surviving. To have children and grandchildren.

To have continuity of the family. To not have Hitler be right that he would completely wipe out the Jewish people from the earth. She lived a childhood of horror and just hoping that everyday she would move on to the next camp without dying or being gassed or burned alive. Hitler had no remorse for what he was doing; he didn t think it was wrong to want every Jewish person dead. It was now time for Hitler to be acted against. In these days the hatred grew in me, hatred for those responsible for this deed (Stewart; p. 31).

He was temporarily blinded by a British chlorine gas attack near Ypres. He was sent home to a starving, war weary country full of unrest. He lay in a hospital bed consumed with many rumors of disaster. Hitler did not want the war to come to an end, he wanted to be the most powerful man again and kill every Jew still living. There were many attempts to kill Hitler when the war ended because of his countless propaganda scandals, and his orders to murder over six million innocent people. The power he had was total, but he made no permanent contributions to the human race.

Hitler is known, and will continue to be known, for the evil crimes that he committed against mankind, and against the world. As for Hitler s death, he took the easy way out and ended his own life. He left towns diminished to rubble, families torn apart, and millions of innocent people dead. Hitler will never, in my eyes, be anyone who was a powerful man, he will be known as the killer of all innocent people.
