Changes in land English settlers before there arrival to the states the flora and fauna flourished here. Indians used the land to there advantage as well as to the lands advantage. When the Europeans first arrived they caused destruction to the land, which is the viewpoints of some historians. The Indians used the land and put back what they used or they used all of what they take. This is there way of life before the settlers even showed up the landscape was beautiful and the Indians view was that we dont own it we just protect it. They also lived without money and used the barter system with fellow tribes.
They completely relied on the land because thats where everything came from that they used no material thing really its sad because I honestly think that the Indian way of life was a form of utopia. Think about little conflict only when it was necessary, no money, everything is own or shared by everyone. The settlers had a little bit of a different viewpoint they were having problems in Europe because there resources were getting scarce. So when they arrived at America they saw all the resources they could ever imagine so they simply took what they wanted and did what they wanted. That was simply there lifestyle and there is nothing more to it. In there eyes it was theres for the taking and they gave no respect to the Indians because they just couldnt understand there way of life and thats that.
They thought the Indians where stupid because they had all these resources and didnt take advantage of it so the settlers thought it was there right to take what they wanted. Little did they know that they were destroying the beautiful landscape of America and just pushing the Indians west. The idea of property was simply the settlers thought that it was all theres and the Indians were the protectors of the earth. I think that if the Indians knew there fate that they would of fought back at the settlers.
Unfortunately they fought back entirely to late and were insanely out numbered. Its a shame that it was glorified that we found America when in all actuality we didnt it was occupied for years by the Indians all we did was take over and conquest a group of peoples land that wasnt ours but theres and we just kept pushing them back Another viewpoint to make was the loss of culture and some ways of life that we will never figure out. Wee actually wiped out tribes of the Indian community without remorse or serious thought of the ramifications of our actions. The Indian way of life was simple yet complex the fact that a group of people could survive for so long just living off the land is indeed a task not easily achieved.
We had a form of liquidation of the Indian people because since there way of life was unknown and strange to us there instantaneously classified as evil or bad people. The sad thing though is that the Indians tried to live harmoniously with us but we just wouldnt have it. If it wasnt for the Native Americans most of the colonies would not have survived. Like the story of our first thanksgiving the settlers were starving and all so close to death due to the harsh conditions. Since the Indians already knew the land they passed that knowledge to us so that we could live and actually eat. They actually brought the settlers food as an act of kindness and peace.
Once the settlers figured the land out on there own there was no longer a need for them. All that occurred during this time was definitely because of just different lifestyles. The Indians thought they were doing the right thing and were actual doing the right thing. The settlers thought they were doing the same but in actuality were not and really were harming the land more then protecting it.
