Hero Cycle Paper Once upon a time there was a king named Arthur. Twelve strong heroes served him. Lazar, the Youngest was the strongest hero. Nobody was able to defeat him. When Lazar was 20 years old, his parents started to advice him about marriage. The hero wanted to listen to his parents; however, he couldnt find the girl in his own country.
So he started to ask parents: - Please, send me far away to find my destiny. I want to have a look at the great wild world. Parents agreed and Lazar prepared for a journey. Day after day he went until he come to a small kingdom. All the people there were gloomy and sad. Lazar asked them what the problem was. - Poor one, you dont know our trouble.
The Sea Dragon comes here and each night eats one girl from the kingdom. Lazar asked them to allow him to spend one night as a guardian. He saw the Sea Dragon and started the fight. Lazar killed the Sea Dragon and rescued a girl who was doomed to death.
She exclaimed: - Thank you, my hero! Ill bring you to my parents and they reward you! Parents of the girl were so happy that asked how they can reward the hero. Lazar said: - I dont want to take the money. However, Im not married, and Ill be glad to marry your daughter. They celebrated the wedding and in one year a son was born.

Who waged the war against all of you? - A dreadful Silver Prince attacked our town and killed everybody. Tell me who are you? What is your aim? - Im from a small northern kingdom, far away from here. Im Lazar the Great. Ive heard much about you and went to meet you. I followed your signs and found you here. Tell me, why did you kill everybody in the town?
Silver Prince answered: - How can I not to fight if I love kings daughter more than my own life. Im the most unlucky person in the whole Universe and will fight until I get my beloved princess. Will you help me? - Yes, Silver Prince, I help you if you will help me. I need to bring to my king a golden apple of eternal youth. I havent got a slightest idea where can I find it. Silver Prince smiled happily: - I do know where you can get the apple.
The king cherishes his garden like the apple of his eye. So, two heroes got ready and went to the kingdom to fight for a princess. They approached the city for fifty meters and started to blow the horn: - Hey, king! Here we are!
Here we came to fight for a princess. Let Silver Prince marry her and we will not touch anything here! The king saw two heroes and scared. He shouted: - Ill give you whatever you ask, only make me a favor. Seven miles from here lives a Fire-Bird who steals my golden apples. Many watchmen tried to catch her, but managed to catch only a feather from its tail.
So, two heroes promised to be guardians for the kings garden for three days and three nights. The third night a Fire-Bird came and wanted to steal a golden apple from the golden tree. Silver Prince and Lazar the Great wanted to catch her, but managed to catch only a feather from her tail. The second attempt was successful and Lazar griped a Fire-Bird. She asked for mercy but heroes were inexorable.
Fire-Bird asked them: Please let me go. I promise I never will come back! Friends believed her and let her fly with peace. Fire-Bird kept her promise and has never come back to the garden.
The king was happy and allowed Silver Prince to marry his daughter. Everybody was happy except Lazar the Great. After all celebrations the king asked him: Why are you so sad, my boy? My king told me that I can come back home only if I bring him one of your golden apples. I do want to come back to my parents.
I want to show him my wife and I want to live in my own native country. The king was deeply touched by Lazars words and let him go home. He gave Lazar several golden apple to satisfy Lazars king. Lazars parents were ever so pleased to see him healthy and happy.
They asked him many questions about his traveling. Lazar told them how Silver Prince helped him and how he find his wife. And all of them lived in peace and happiness to a ripe old age.
