A Story of My Dreams Since the dawn of time, all humankind has experienced dreams. Dreams are the one thing that we have in common with everyone. What do dreams really mean? Are they mirrors of our days, tunnels into pauses of the unconscious, or no more than the chance results of biological changes in the brain? No one knows the complete answer yet, but dream researchers are learning more and more about the reasons why we tell ourselves stories as we sleep, and how these tales reflect and relate to waking life. Put it scientifically, dreaming is a product of the brain and its activity.
Whether a person is awake or asleep, the brain continuously gives off electrical waves that can be measured by an electroencephalograph. (Dreams). Id like to tell story of my dreams. Some time ago I had a dream. I dreamed that I am in some kind of Asian country, similar to Thailand. I was going on narrow side streets of city. I am wearing my old school uniform.
Everyone pay attention on me and it seems to me, that I look defiantly, but I feel pleasant. Suddenly towards to me appeared the herd of elephants. They were not big, a lot of cubs among them. I had hardly time to curtail in to nearest side street so as to they have not crushed me.
Then I am going further and walk out on the square. The square is covered with a grass and small trees. Everywhere and all around is spring the sun, green fluffy grass. Air smells with heated up ground.
I sit down right on a grass and enjoy the weather. On the square there are lot of to people. At this time fight begins, young guys fighting, the police is joining scuffle, I am running in fear to ladders, downwards, then upwards, and run out on seacoast or ocean coast. My dream going on a deserted shore. I dreamed that I am floating in the sea with the best friend Danielle. All around there is a fog, and the sea is muddy...
Waves gradually rise, and one of them even covers up us. We step out on coast and we are looking for a small bungalow... We pass from one in another, not knowing where exactly ours or which to choose. After a while, we were able to find a little cottage that belonged to a fisherman. The sea and lapping waves were direct under a window.
I needed from fisherman a boat in order to get to an island (it looked like a great mountain that was rising from the water and was covered with snow). All of a sudden, I sat in the boat with four of my roommates as well as with my father and grandfather. However, only then have we found out that we do not have enough food to get to that island, so we turned our boat back to the harbor. Upon our return, we had gone into a forest that was covering almost all of the land that we were able to see. After a period of time, the length of which I was not able to determine, we have found an arbor and there were many deer running around it. We are going further.
I want to go alone, but suddenly Danielle turns to a kitten, such small and defenseless... I run behind it, and ahead appear huge dog, simply huge and it runs in turn behind her, trying to seize, to bite. And not having caught up, dog guiltily gets in bed and looks with such melancholy at me. Then I dreamed, that I am driving a car with Danielle on the mountain road parallel to seacoast (water in the sea is deep-blue, pure and very transparent), and I thinking: " what a pity, that weather already becomes cold, the season has ended and we will not have time to stay at the ocean any further." Suddenly, the road from asphalted smoothly transforms into snowy and unexpectedly it appears, that we are not going any more by the car we are on a sledges, but the sea is still deep-blue. And suddenly sledges sliding down like from the switchback into this water, we get wet, but do not freeze and then we appear already in the bus, roughly discussing our small adventure. Then I dreamed I was walking out of my house, and I did not stop.
I was walking all over town. While walking around, I saw my friends driving by; some of them stopped to ask if I needed a ride and some did not. During the end of my dream, my cousin, had seen me walking, and he pulled over, and I got in the car with him. We ended up going back to his house, and we just sat outside and talked. I think what this dream meant was, that in my group of friends, there are people who I trust and know that they will be there for me. At the same time, there are people who I am friends with, but they say that they will be there for me when I need help, but when the time comes, they dont show.
The friends, who stopped by to ask if I needed a ride, are the friends who I can trust. But the reason for me, going with my cousin instead of any of my other friends, means that he is the one who I trust the most and that he will always be there for me, as I will always be there for him. During this time period in my life, I am starting to figure out who are truly my friends, and who are just hypocrites by the events that have been happening in the past two-three weeks.
