Concept of Cultural Diversity and its Relevance in the Practice of Medicine The increasing cultural diversity of our society, requires the change of ethical code in healthcare. In my opinion, people that undergo medicinal treatment are the least concerned with the issue of ethnicity. All they want is to begin feeling better as soon as possible. That's why, while respecting patients' cultural background is important, it is utterly wrong to make a fetish out of it. In my opinion, many aspects of diversity are being blown out of proportion. It is simply a political theory, promoted by the pushers of left wing agenda. Yet, in some cases, this concept directly contradicts the spiritual foundations that this country is being built upon.
In my opinion, since the cultural diversity is a fact of our everyday life, we need to consider its effects, especially in the field of medicine. But there is absolutely no reason to think that patients' racial affiliation affects medicinal procedures, designed by white people.
