The present work is devoted to the research of HIV/ AIDS issue among the managers of medical organizations. This problem has been chosen by me for its high relevance in the society in general. The fact is that AIDS is becoming not only the problem of medicine, but is also spreading on social, political and economic life of people. The aim of the work is to define the means of surveying the issue of AIDS in relation to the medical health organizations' activity, as well as the possible weak and strong sides of the designed survey tools. Healthcare Marketing Introduction Performing any survey demands certain skills and knowledge for choosing the right sample group; this will create the real state of affairs in relation to the issue under research.

It is also necessary to remember, that the best way to perform any survey, no matter, if it is aimed at researching healthcare issues, some other products or services, must have the exact structure and logic, so that the results received are built into one logic line, leading to the general conclusion and possible recommendations for the further investigation of the issue. Making the survey has become one of the best ways for carrying out any research at present time. Healthcare issues in terms of fighting the AIDS and HIV epidemics are very relevant nowadays, and thus there should exist clear vision, as for what should be done, and even how it should be done. Medical health organizations appear to be the best sample group for carrying out the present survey, as they are directly involved in working with AIDS and HIV infected people, together with creating different strategies and distinguishing trends and influences of AIDS in terms of business as the phenomenon.

The question of AIDS influence on business didnt have much attention, and general situation of AIDS healthcare appears to have direct relation to the profitability of medical organizations activity. Thus, it is necessary to create the general structure of the survey on this issue. In order to design the present survey there have been studied six sources on the subject of AIDS healthcare (see Works Cited). AIDS/ HIV have become a real global problem nowadays. It touches the problems of healthcare system, demography, national security and economic development of all world countries. The spreading of epidemics arouses much concern in the recent years.

Together with the demographic problems, the AIDS epidemics might become a serious problem for the development of the healthcare and economic systems of the country. If the spreading of this infection is not controlled, economic consequences will be perceived not only at the state level, but also at the level of each medical organization. As well as the problem of HIV is soon to be turned into the problem of AIDS, the influence of this epidemic on the medical companies' welfare will become clearer. Thus, the present issue is very relevant in our community. As far as the AIDS epidemic is to cause serious decrease in the labor force as well as the labor productivity, all this will finally cause the decrease of companies' profitability. (Turner 2001, p. 17) At the same time, the experience of the countries with higher rates of epidemic's pleading has shown, that medical; business, as any other, may and can play an important role in fighting against this epidemic. Medical and health companies may use their competitive advantages for carrying important information and realization of the health protection policies, together with providing equal rights for their workers.

Implementation of health programs for the workers of health organizations has proved its effectiveness from the viewpoint of decreasing the tempos of infection spreading, and thus the protection of medical workers together with prevention of economic losses. More and more medical and health organizations understand that the struggle against AIDS is necessary from the viewpoint of companies's oil responsibility, productivity protection and getting higher profits. (Masi 1990, p. 22) This telephone poll has been held among 15 local medical organizations on the base of confidentiality. This poll was aimed at distinguishing certain tendencies in terms of AIDS/ HIV on the health medical organizations' level. These companies have been identified by me as the best sample group for holding the telephone poll. This group was chosen by me for the following reasons: Medical organizations are the ones which are well informed about the problem of AIDS, and thus are able to determine the level of AIDS epidemic' influence on their companies Medical and health companies have dubious position here, as they are interested in higher immune suppressants production, and at the same time they should direct all their efforts at fighting with AIDS epidemic in global sense and in each particular medicine organization.

As far as the number of the local medical and health companies is not so big, the quantity of 15 enterprises appears optimal enough to receive maximum responses. The main criteria for me to determine the sample group were the following: respondents should be well aware of the AIDS issue in the community. Thus, medical organizations are the best choice, as they are directly involved into the production of medicines and healthcare procedures for those who are infected with HIV/ AIDS; respondents should also be a profit organization, to make the clear vision of AIDS influence on the general work of the company. Thus, in looking for the solution of AIDS healthcare problem it will be easier to define the possible causes of AIDS for companies, their productivity and general attitude towards infected workers; respondents should also have suggestions as for the possible healthcare policies in the workplaces in terms of AIDS and HIV, and medical organizations are able to make medical knowledge the base for their suggestions. The key issue to assess in the present paper is that the absence of the necessary healthcare for AIDS infected becomes the reason of lower productivity and higher risk of being infected.

At the same time, one more problem of healthcare here is that the members of the community should be better informed as for the possible ways of infecting. The healthcare system should direct its main efforts at supporting those who are already ill, together with protecting those who are healthy through informing them about the disease and encouraging healthcare policies at workplaces. Health organizations should become the central elements of such healthcare policies, as they closely work with AIDS research. Thus, the main instrument for carrying out the survey was the telephone poll among the managers of 15 health organizations, based on total anonymity. In order to carry out the necessary survey, there have been developed 10 questions for the medical companies to answer. The questions have been created in such way, so that there should be no ambiguity in answering them.

As far as the main audience to participate in the survey was the managers of medical organizations, the questions have been organized to be in the scope of their activity. In addition, their position allows making some more analysis, thus some questions are aimed at clarifying healthcare AIDS issues in terms of management. The questions were as follows: Does the wrong healthcare in terms of AIDS negatively influence your company? If the absence of the necessary healthcare increases the epidemic scope, will this influence your company? And for deeper analysis: in what spheres of activity will this influence mainly display?

What measures will support healthcare in relation to AIDS? Do you suppose that active participation of medical organizations in AIDS healthcare will significantly reduce the AIDS influence on their activity? Is it necessary for the state healthcare system to develop the knowledge of community about AIDS? Should healthcare organizations conceal the information about HIV-infected people, or their employers have the right to know the diagnosis? Do you suppose that healthcare organizations are responsible for the employment of HIV-infected people?

Should medical companies broaden the network of healthcare organizations for better access of HIV-infected to medical assistance? Is it better to implement the domestic AIDS policy inside medical companies or lay this responsibility on healthcare organizations? How important is it to provide profound knowledge of workers in terms of AIDS/ HIV? (Rosenberg 2005, Lenaghan 2003) As soon as the present questions have been developed, it is necessary to try this survey tool in order to understand, whether it is effective and will bring clear and understandable results. In order to check the effectiveness of the present survey, I have distributed the questions among the five medical organizations, to answer them and see the received results. Later it will be possible to see whether any modifications in the designed survey are needed.

So, according to the five groups of answers, one from each company, it was possible to receive the following results. All five companies have managed to answer all ten questions, but some answers seem to be uncertain, due to either some misunderstandings or ambiguity of the questions. Answering the first questions was not problematic for all respondents, and 3 of them gave the answer yes to the questions, concerning the negative influence of AIDS epidemic on their profits. But at the same time, I had to modify the question as it seemed to be somewhat wrong in relation to medical companies. The main idea for this modification was the following: here one speaks about the negative influence on labor force of the company, which should be noted in the question, because the influence of AIDS epidemic on medical companies may also be positive in raising their profits for medical treatment and services for infected patients. The second question of the survey was clearly designed, thus there has been no difficulties in answering it.

Four out of five respondents have noted the negative influence on the productivity in case the healthcare organizations dont accomplish active steps in decreasing the AIDS epidemic scope. Thus this question needed no modification. The third question concerned the possible measures in terms of improving AIDS healthcare. There have been received five different answers at them, and thus this question appeared to be too indefinite in making the general conclusion, thus had to be modified and made more exact, for the respondents to give more definite answers. The possible measures for improving AIDS healthcare in the described community were named as follows: implementing general state policies for fighting AIDS on the local level (this answer was too indefinite); carrying out general meetings of health medical organizations managers for developing common strategies, etc. As the answers have been different, there was no possibility to make the general conclusion.

Thus, the present question was one of the weakest in the whole survey. The rest of the questions, except the last two, were designed to give only two possible answers yes or no. The main aim of creating such questions was to avoid complexity and receive clear results, which will be easy for processing. The last two questions are also deprived of any ambiguity and presuppose only two possible answers. It is known, that the main aim of any survey is to get clear results through answering certain questions. Any survey has its aim.

Our survey was aimed at depicting the role organizations play in implementing anti-AIDS policies and improving the overall state of healthcare in terms of AIDS/ HIV. It was also directed at making clear the possible position of HIV infected workers at their workplace. By trying this survey among 5 medical health organizations there has been received several comments on the designed questions. 3 out of 5 respondents have expressed their negative attitude towards the questions, which presuppose more than answering yes or no. It appeared to be difficult for them to answer the second question about the possible measures in terms of healthcare system. Thus, the second part of the question has been eliminated. So, making the summary about the present survey, it should be said that this attempt to carry out a telephone poll has shown the weaknesses and strengths of the designed questions.

First of all, the survey of any topic, no matter if this is a healthcare issue, or the questions about other kinds of products or services, must have its clear aim, and it is also desirable, that there exists the main question, which is to be finally answered. (Newby 2003, p. 164) Second, the questions of any survey must be clearly deigned to avoid ambiguous answers. Third, the number of the sample group must be chosen, depending on the general quantity of the respondents in the community. In our case, the general number of health medical organizations in the community was equal to 27, thus the chosen quantity of 15 respondents is enough to carry the general opinion and to create the overall picture of AIDS healthcare problems and solutions in the community. (Newby 2003, p. 165) Conclusion The work was an attempt of creating the survey on a healthcare issue. AIDS has been chosen as the most relevant topic not only in our community, but in the society as a whole.

The sample group was chosen according to the main aim of the survey, with medical organizations being directly involved into developing strategies of anti AIDS fight. It has become clear that creating a survey needs carrying out a trial, which means that before launching the survey for the sample group, it is necessary to try among the limited number of respondents, thus to distinguish the weaknesses and the strengths of the survey questions. At the same time, it is very important that the questions created for the survey dont carry ambiguity and are simple for answering. A survey should in no matter put any difficulties on the respondents.

The survey created for investigating the issue of AIDS healthcare and benefits/ employment questions of the medical health organizations was created with some mistakes, which have been found during the trial and thus led to the modification of some questions. The final amended survey will certainly bring the necessary results for further research on the issue. Appendix A The Questions of the Trial Survey Does the wrong healthcare in terms of AIDS negatively influence your company? If the absence of the necessary healthcare increases the epidemic scope, will this influence your company? And for deeper analysis: in what spheres of activity will this influence mainly display? What measures will support healthcare in relation to AIDS?

Do you suppose that active participation of medical organizations in AIDS healthcare will significantly reduce the AIDS influence on their activity? Is it necessary for the state healthcare system to develop the knowledge of community about AIDS? Should healthcare organizations conceal the information about HIV-infected people, or their employers have the right to know the diagnosis? Should medical companies broaden the network of healthcare organizations for better access of HIV-infected to medical assistance? Is it better to implement the domestic AIDS policy inside medical companies or lay this responsibility on healthcare organizations? How important is it to provide profound knowledge of workers in terms of AIDS/ HIV? Appendix B The Amended Questions, Appropriate and Ready for Carrying Out the Real Survey Do the employees of your company appear under threat because of wrong AIDS healthcare? If the absence of the necessary healthcare increases the epidemic scope, will this negatively influence your employees? Are there any specific measures which will improve AIDS healthcare?
