I do believe that your school can provide me with the type of pharmacy education I need and I have two reasons for that. In my past I studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My classmates and I liked the study process there because our classes were small and it was very suitable. It is much easier to study in small size classes due to their positive atmosphere, good relations with all the group mates and individual approach.
Our teacher know the capacities of each student, he knew what he had had to develop in each of us. Also we were like one family with one common goal, without any strong competition, but with friendship and understanding, that is very important in the study process. We could work together with our teacher; it was not difficult for him, because there were very few of us in each group. We also could apply to our instructor any time he is free.
That is what I am waiting from the study in your school, because I have learned that you have the same conditions. I worked with them every week and should admit that it is not very easy job that requires much patience, understanding and skills of establishing the sense of trust between you and your patient. Due to the work with old and young people, I managed to understand the problems and peculiarities of the work with people of different generations. I also worked a receptionist at Dental office where I learned patient and doctor, patient and pharmacist, technician and pharmacist relationship. They seemed significant for me as they were a bit different than the human relationships I used to see in the everyday life. After the volunteer work I understand that something changed inside of me. I began to realize that healthcare is the sphere I really what to learn more about. So now my goal is to improve my human interaction skills because I believe that human interaction skill is one of most important goals in health professional education and it must be improved before entering to pharmacy school.
