Why do people dress the way they do? Is it just a sense of style or are we dressing to make a fashion statement? Are we dressing just to be dressed or are we forced to go along with the crowd and obey the fashion tyrant? Who indeed influence the decision of young people as well as other to look fashioned and follow the new trends that appear nowadays almost every week? I believe that youth nowadays tries to keep up with fashion, looking around for the latest garb, following the latest magazines and fashion shows.
Indeed, dont we all want to look like the very sexy models strolling on the catwalk? When we see how lovely an outfit looks on them we buy the outfit. I believe that fashion rules as but not vice versa. Fashion stylists, designers, fashion magazines, shows and TV programs are the things, in my opinion, that really influence our tastes in clothes and assessors we buy and wear. Newest fashion that we get from magazines and TV shows is always catching our eyes. Firstly, new fashion shows new ideas and styles which are quite different from the former ones.
To those who want to be distinguished from others, it gives them a way to be different. Secondly, fashion leaders often invite world-famous actors, actresses or models to show their latest fashion. It attracts most of young people to buy the products in order to look like their idols. Another important reason for young people pursuing fashion is that they dont want to be regarded conservatives. Keeping up with the latest fashion is necessary for an open-minded person. Those people whom we might not consider to make an impact on our tastes - fashion designers, critics, journalists, graphic designers, editors, creative consultants and photographers- indeed have captured the phenomenon of the fashion industry.
They produce what we call the fashion magazine that I believe is not a least thing that influence our tastes. Through various magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Visionaries, W Magazine, Logo Vogue, Details, Jane, Numero, 10 Magazine and Allure, the reader gets a taste of what this industry has to offer. And we, youth become very obsessive about this or that style or particular thing which we believe is fashioned. We want to look better than our peers and dress more fashion than others. The fashion circuit is becoming increasing vast and extremely popular. The cycle in which this industry operates is so rapid that the constant change of names and faces is the pulse of this very industry.
Young people strive to follow the latest tastes in this arena which is indeed not only cutthroat but for most short-lived. How can we, people, safe ourselves from being real slaves of nowadays fashion. In my opinion we need to develop our own tastes no matter if it is fashioned or not. I believe that, clothing is a way to illustrate a persons individual characteristics. Therefore, everyone should find his or her unique style, instead of surrendering to the fluky fashion which may only makes you in common with others. If we want to be different we have to follow your own style.
Besides clothings basic function is to keep warm and make us feel comfortable. Its stupid to spend lots of money buying fashionable clothes which may be only pleasant to look, but uncomfortable to wear. Nothing is more important than making yourself comfortable. Overall I believe that fashion might be considered to be the hottest topic in the modern society. New trends in almost every aspect of our life such as clothing and decoration are constantly invented. Pursuing these new trends leads to spending a great amount of time and money.
To prevent being salves of fashion, people, especially youth has to stick to their own style rather than following the fluky fashion bloodlessly.
