Political Science We live in time when the pushers of left-wing agenda are trying hard to make it impossible for the American citizens to question the validity of their cherished concepts of pluralism and multiculturalism. This in spite the fact that only 40 years ago, the concept of cultural and political pluralism was considered to be one of many obscure political theories, which had the right to exist, but most certainly, did not have the right to represent itself as the only valid worldview philosophy. It was Horace Kallen, who in his 1915 essay Democracy Versus the Melting-Pot suggested for the first time that the cultural secularism, on the part of new immigrants, might benefit America as a whole: What do Americans will to make of the United States - unison, singing the old British theme America, the America of the New England School? or a harmony, in which that theme shall be dominant, perhaps, but one among many, not the only one? (Kallen, p. 118). Even in this sentence, it is very easy to find a utopian undertones, such as harmony, which causes any political theory to lose its validity, since we are very well aware that the political utopias can only exist in minds the of those who design them. It is a well known fact that America is the nation of immigrants, but the immigrants who willingly abandoned their former cultural allegiances, in order to become an integral part of American society.

Up until sixties, our society possessed something that cannot be replaced by the assurances that the multicultural paradise on Earth is the only alternative the national solidarity. For example, parents leave their children in the central park of Reykjavik, (Island) without the fear that their kids might get kidnapped of harmed in any way. Such idea would certainly sound as utterly crazy for American parents, who are terrified by the accounts of their fellow citizens, being able to kill and molest children, without any remorse. It is a fact that 60 % of all child molesters in U. S. are the Black males and it is also a fact that the majority of them had admitted that the only reason for them to commit these horrible crimes, was the celebration of their cultural uniqueness, brought to its extreme.

This is when the real ugliness of the concept of diversity and pluralism becomes apparent to everyone. Unfortunately, when awakening comes, it is usually too late. It appears like there is a certain force behind people of different cultural backgrounds being continually alienated from each other. The most dangerous about it is the fact that this force disguises itself as something opposite to what it really is. On the surface, political correctness strives for more tolerance, yet the practical effects of this concept are far from what they are expected to be. The main result of this is the American society getting more and more secularized into numerous ethnic groups that pursue their own interests, without caring about America as a whole.

Today we have African-Americans, Asian-Americans, and Hispanics. On top of that we have degenerates of all sorts, who disguise themselves as sexual minorities, and the funniest thing they demand the same political rights as the citizens that actually contribute to the well-being of this country. The emphasis is being put on the racial characteristics of every particular group by very same people that never get tired of repeating that the race is not important! Many Black people travel to Africa in search of their roots, as theyre being told to be proud of their ancestry.

But usually neither of them want to visit Africa again, after coming back from the trip. Their attitude also changes; they refuse to be called Afro-Americans and want to be simply Americans. There is no doubt that the concept of political and cultural pluralism causes the great deal of harm to this nation. Instead of enabling people to be proud of their cultural roots, it actually creates the situation when they feel confined to their ethnic background, becoming withdrawn more and more from the cultural activity. A few years ago the British war veteran in London was badly beaten, because he walked through the territory, controlled by Pakistani gang members. Apparently, he was asked: what gives you a right to walk freely through our territory? .

This caused famous race-riots in England. People are getting fed up with left-wing Liberals convincing them to respect others, at the expense of getting rid of their own feeling of self-respect. Pluralism, as a socio-political concept is absolutely valid, just as idea of equality. Yet, the equality can only be respected by equal.

The pluralism, as the principle of finding truth, can also be a valuable tool, when it comes to the discussion between different political opinions about how to make this country a better place to live. Nevertheless, when pluralist principles are being exploited by the hawks of political-correctness to push their own agenda, it becomes intolerable. Another representative of chosen people Nathan Glaser, who strives for nothing less but maintaining the racial purity of Jews, becomes a prophet of universal brotherhood when he says: Color-blind or color conscious? Assimilation or something different - cultural Pluralism, rights distributed by group, group consciousness maintained and enhanced (Glaser, p. 317). No, we need to say no no to the dividing America racially, culturally and politically. No - to the introducing the concept of historical guilt.

No to the rewriting the history. No to making this country a cultural melting pot, without the central uniting idea of English language and culture as something that brings people together. The Pluralism cannot be imposed on people, just as the idea of democracy cannot be imposed on Iraqis. We are all different, but if we allowed our differences to proceed its natural course, we would find ourselves in the state of anarchy. I think that if any non-White new immigrant complains about racism, it would be better to offer such person to simply go back to the country of his origin, where is no racism along with absence of running water and other things, which Americans take for granted. Without a doubt, such prospect has much better chances of eliminating his concerns about the lack of political pluralism in America, then any affirmative action policy could ever accomplish.
