Living on a Lifeboat In his article Living on a Lifeboat, Garret Hardin outlines a general idea of what is going to happen to the world, as we know it, if proponents of Liberalism will be allowed to impose their degenerative social doctrines upon citizens in Western countries. By applying a scientifically proven statistical data, Hardin leaves us with no doubt that it will only be the matter of time, before Western civilization descends back into barbarism, if we embark on fitting everybody into the lifeboat Earth. It is a fact that there is simply not enough room under the sun on this Earth for all. The various humanitarian programs that were designed by Liberal dreamers to redistribute the wealth more evenly throughout the world can never be effective, because they contradict the most basic principles of process of evolution. Hardin rightfully points out to the fact that modern humanitarian initiatives, on the part of self-proclaimed guardians of public morality, derive out of classical Marxism, which had proven its metaphysical absurdity long ago. He criticizes the idea of transferring monetary funds from rich to poor nations, because it will result in creation of energetic balance, when any further cultural and scientific progress becomes impossible.

Nations cannot be equally rich but they can become equally poor, if Liberal insanity is not stopped: Under the guidance of this ratchet, wealth can be steadily moved in one direction only, from the slowly-breeding rich to the rapidly-breeding poor, the process finally coming to a halt only when all countries are equally and miserably poor (Hardin). Figures 1 and 2 are better than anything else prove the validity of authors idea, because they are illustrative. They indicate that monetary infusions from World Food Bank only increase the emergency ratio in underdeveloped countries, because they enable the survival of many people, who only add to the problem of over-population: Every life saved this year in a poor country diminishes the quality of life for subsequent generations (Hardin). It is quite impossible to disagree with Hardin's arguments. However, in his article he intentionally avoids mentioning that nations well-being is directly related to the degree of racial mixing that affect their populations. In other words the less there is a racial mixing, among citizens, within a particular nation, the richer this nation is.

Even though Hardin suggests that people in civilized countries have no other option but adopting the psychology of lifeboat, he thinks that there can be no moral justification for this practice, in traditional sense of this word: The law long ago invented statutes of limitations to justify the rejection of pure justice, in the interest of preventing massive disorder (Hardin). However, there can be no doubt that enabling evolution progress, among people on Earth, has absolute value. Hardin's stance is not quite as radical as it could have been. Instead of suggesting that reduction of population in the countries of Third World is unpleasant but necessary measure, he should have emphasized on it as something that simply does not have any moral implications. Hardin comes to the right conclusions that essentially cannot be argued with, but it comes at the expense of undermining articles appeal to the majority of less intellectual citizens. The best way to investigate the issues raised in Hardin's article is to learn more about non-White nations that used to be European colonies, but have gained independence, ever since people in Western countries began to be instilled with the sense of self-guilt.

The gaining of independence by these countries coincided with the time when socio-cultural evolution there had reversed itself. We only need to look at the example of Haiti, which became an independent country in 1802, and being considered the poorest nation in the world ever since, even though that under French rule it was considered as the most economically thriving colony in the New World. It is only when we learn to think of racial affiliation, as something that defines peoples existential mode, that it will become possible for us to identify the true causes of socio-political inequality among citizens and nations. It will also become apparent to us then that Liberalism, Marxism and Christianity are based on peoples biological deficiency, as metaphysical foundation. This is the reason why the practical applications of these concepts have always resulted in death and degradation. This is why Liberal humanitarian initiatives can never be considered seriously.

Abstract: This paper analyses Garret Hardin's article Living on a Lifeboat from the perspective of an individual who is able to apply logic, when it comes to the discussion of controversial issues of socio-political importance. Outline: Summary p. 1 Critique p. 2 New idea p. 3
