Product Contrast/ Comparison The aim of this paper is to examine differences and similarities of two software products: Microsoft Office 2003 (Microsoft Corporation) and WordPerfect Office 12 (Corel Corporation). First of all, both Offices are created for computer users to enhance their work and both of them propose specially developed editions for home users, enterprise editions and editions for non-commercial use only. As well as Corel Corporation, Microsoft Corporation created several editions of Microsoft Office 2003. Each edition is specially designed for group of users (Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003, Microsoft Office Professional Enterprise Edition 2003, Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003, and Standard Edition). MS Standard Edition includes Excel 2003, Outlook 2003, PowerPoint 2003, and Word 2003.
WP Standard Edition has WordPerfect 12 (similar to Word), Quattro Pro 12 (similar to Excel), Presentations 12 (similar to PowerPoint), and Paradox (similar to MS database). Besides, WordPerfect allows working with HTML, CSS, XML and PDF.
