Harry Potter and the Soccer's stone is about a boy named Harry Potter who is famous in the wizarding world and doesn't know it. His parents were killed by an evil wizard named Lord Voldemort. Voldemort tried to also kill Harry with a spell but it back fired making Voldemort so weak he was barely living and went into hiding. That happened when Harry was 1 year old and since then he had been living with his aunt Petunia uncle Vernon and their son Dudley who were extremely unpleasant people who despite of Harry because he was a wizard which they did not approve of. 12 years later after his parents death when he was thirteen he got a letter which was strange because he never got anything.

Uncle Dursley quickly got rid of it. After a few days there were hundreds of the same letters coming so he took the whole family and went to a little shack on an island to stay the night and when they woke up a big man named Hagrid was there and gave them the letter. Uncle Vernon had no way out and so he let Harry have the letter it said "HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WHICHCRAFT and WIZARDRY. Dear Mr.

Potter, We are pleased to inform you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on september 1. We await your owl by no later than july 31 ." After Harry was done reading the letter Hagrid (who was the Hogwarts game keeper) told him (in shock that he didn't already know) that he was a wizard and about his past.

Then Hagrid wrote a note to professor Dumbledore (who was the headmaster at Hogwarts) and they left for Diagon Alley. Diagon Alley is sort of like a wizarding mall where Harry bought all of his school supplies including a wand that had a hair from the same unicorn as Voldemort's. Then he awaits September 1 so he can get on the train to get to Hogwarts. When he gets to the train station his instructions say platform 9 and three quarters, but there's just a wall so he finds out buy watching someone else that you can walk through the wall to get to the Hogwarts express. On the train he meets his future two best friends Ron Weasley who comes from a big family who is poor and Hermonie Granger who is a single child, extremely smart, and and has non-magical parents.

He also meets his worst enemy Draco Malfoy who is mean and rich. When they arrive at Hogwarts they have to put on the sorting hat which will put them in 1 of 4 groups. The Gryfindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. Harry was put in Gryfindor along with Ron and Hermonie. At school Harry gets his schedule and over time in Hogwarts does some sneaky things.

He inherits an invisibility cloak which helps him later. His least favorite teacher was Several Snape who taught proteins and he doesn't like Peeves the got. The only ghost he does like is Nearly Headless Nick. Normal stuff happens in the wizarding school untill one day during professor McGonagall's class when they got to fly on brooms. Quidditch is the name of the game where you fly on brooms. Harry had never flown before but was extremely good, even if he were experienced.

Quidditch is played with two goals that you try to score on, but that isn't the main part. There are also beaters who hit flying balls with bats. The ball that they hit is called a budget. The beaters try to hit the other players with the budgets. The most important part is seeker (which Harry plays). The seeker ties to catch a tiny gold flying ball called the snitch.

when the snitch is caught the game is over and the team who caught the snitch gets 100 points. Harry plays that throughout the year and then something important happens. Harry, hermonie, and Ron get the name Nicolas Flame, but they don't know who he is. They find out after extensive time in the library that he is the sorcerer in the title who has a stone that is making him invincible and someone on the school grounds is trying to get a hold of it because it is garden at Hogwarts. They suspect Snape because he seems evil. So one night they followed who they thought was snape.

Along the way to the stone they had to get past a three headed dog, catch a flying key, make a potion to walk through fire, and play a life-size chess match. Harry made it to the sorcerer's stone to find professor Quirrell instead of Snape. Quirrell was sort of sharing his body with Voldemort because Voldemort was really just a floating soul. Harry grabbed at Quirrell to try and stop him and felt a huge pain and so did Quirrell.

Harry had to hold on because if he let go Quirrell would kill him with a spell. Harry held on so long he fainted, but Quirrell died and Voldemort left his body before he died. Harry awoke with professor Dumbledore by his side. Harry stopped Voldemort from becoming invincible and was congratulated by everyone at Hogwarts.

This was and extremely good book and you should read it even if you don't like to read. I don't like to read myself, but I make an exception for the Harry Potter series. Theres never a dull moment and you can't wait to see what happens.
