I am becoming a teacher so that I can show God's love and teach children to have a higher learning. I have a philosophy that is a mix of essentialism and progressivism. I believe that children do have a desire to learn. They need certain needs to be fulfilled, but they also need to have discipline. Hard work is will be taught as well. In a classroom, the children cannot overthrow you; you must be able to control them.

You need to be firm yet loving... I want them to learn what they want to but also learn the basics. As a teacher I don't want to be a dictator, I just want to teach them in a loving and Godly way. As a teacher I feel my role will best be described as the educator. I am going to teach students at the best of my ability. I will help to be a decision-maker, a team worker, a mediator, and a communicator.

I will develop skills so that I am these entire combined into one. In teaching, I feel you must have some of these attributes in you. A student will need you for many different reasons than just for a teacher. They will call on you when they are in trouble, they will go to you when they are upset. Children look up to teachers in more way than one. In believing that this is true, I must qualify myself for all these attributes.

In my classroom, I can see about twenty to twenty five different colors, race, and behaving children. I will have blonde, brunette, auburn, and black hair colored children. I can see the desire if learning in these children's eyes. They look up to me for guidance and direction in their search for direction and learning. They will show an enthusiasm for the material that I will present to them in the class. They will show disappointment when I am teaching something that they don't find interest in.

When I teach something that does interest them, they will be overjoyed. The children I see will look to me when they are down, they will come to me for help, and they will respect me as their educator. In my classroom, I will have lively colored items surrounding the walls. I will have pictures of my students up and a place for encouragement beneath their pictures. In the corner, I will have the reading station where I will have an odd shaped rug where they can read and sit enjoyably.

My classroom will be fun and exciting, I will have crafts that they want up, not just me. Each day I will have a new book to read with a theme that goes along with it. My students and I will have a close relationship, I will share with them that they can come to me with anything. They have to know that I am their teacher though and that wont change. I will be their mentor and educator. My classroom is going to be loving and will be an exciting place to learn.

When I am a teacher, the parents of my students will be deeply involved. I will send home letters each week asking for volunteers for the classroom with different types of activities. I will contact parents when their child is doing exceptionally well or if they aren't doing well at all. Parents of the children in my classroom will know what the students learn each day and what the upcoming events and lessons will be. I will bring my students out to the community for different community service. Whether they are making cards for sick children in the hospital or writing letters to the elderly.

I will show my students how to love their neighbor like themselves. Parents will be shocked in the way that I am going to ask for their involvement in their child's life. In the case of a child whose parent is unable to volunteer, I will ask a grandparent, aunt, or uncle. I want my students to feel like they are being well supported by their families.

My students will learn the act of stewardship in my classroom. In my classroom, my students will know when the right times to talk and speak are. When I tell my students that it is quiet time, it is quiet time. They will know what my limits are and how far they can go.

In the classroom I aid in back home, the students don't test me. They listen to what I have to say at all times without me even raising my voice. I talk to them and give them an understanding of what I expect of them. They know that if they are disobedient that they will receive punishment. The students in my classroom will not disobey me. They will be responsible and respectful of the other students and me.

This will not be a problem in my classroom because I won't let it become a problem. One of the first things I discuss in class will be respect. I know with some students this will be a problem, but from what I have found with much talking and reasoning with these children, time will cease it. My classroom will teach children love, stewardship, respect, and fun. Essentialism and progressivism will be the basis of my teaching technique. As the teacher I will love and respect my students.

I will also teach my students what they need to know for school and life. my students will have a desire to learn and a passion for fun. My classroom will be exhilarating and fun. I will show the students my love for them by what I place on the walls of my classroom.

Parents will be actively involved, as well as the community. My students and I will have an understanding of the rules of my classroom. If my rules are broken, they will know the consequences. I will do the best I can to teach my future pupils to become well-rounded children.
