There are so many things in this world that people argue over. One thing that is true for every arguement is that there is always at least two sides, and two conflicting questions like why? , or why not? , should? , or shouldnt there be? , or is there? , or isnt there? One of the biggest arguable questions of all time is whether or not there is life other than that on the planet Earth. There are facts to prove things for both arguement's, and I dont think that anyone can say with 100 % certainty that they know the answer. Since the known time that man has been around, there have been recordings of strange and even supernatural things happening. These things have been said to be anything from strange flashes of light, to disappearances, or unidentified objects in the sky, or even a mysterious radio signal.
The point is that many people (including myself) strongly believe that we are not alone in this universe, that someone or something is trying to contact us. On the other hand, a very large number of the people on our little planet believe that we are alone, and that these so called strange phenomenons are only figments of imagination, or something made up to receive attention or to make your name known in your hometown, or globally. Last October (1999) Dr. Geoffrey W. Marcy, an astronomer at San Francisco State University, and his research associate, Dr. Paul Butler, who is affiliated with the same university, made an astounding discovery in the scientific field.
They reported the detection of two planets orbiting sun-like stars. These can both be seen with the naked eye from Earth. The temperatures of these two planets, which are considerably larger than Jupiter, appear to be warm enough for water to be in a liquid form, showing us that extraterrestrial (non-terrestrial, not on our earch) life may be producing. This finding leads scientists to believe that the likelihood of there being more stars with orbiting planets capable of supporting life is much higher than we originally thought. We are truly in the dawn of a new era in astronomy, says Dr.

As Im sure many people know, we have recently come to a fairly shaky conclusion that life did exist on the planet Mars at one time since the creation of the universe, which happened billions of years ago. In the year 1996 an expedition to Antarctica recovered a single rock from the icy continent. Antarctica is the best place on Earth to collect pieces of meteors, asteroids, or other objects that have fallen from the sky, because it is an entire continent made up of ice and snow.
Any rocks that are found must have only come from the sky. After very careful analysis, this recovered rock was decided to have come from our close-by planet Mars, because of an impact with a meteor with the red planet. After even further studying it was found that there were fossils of microscopic bacteria in the rock. In one sentence, a rock from Mars landed on Earth only to reveal that microscopic bacteria once lived on that, now assumed lifeless, planet. Scientists believe that this is un disputable proof that life exists outside our planet. Or does it?
After all, this was a rock that was found on Earth, and may have picked up organic material in our atmosphere. Some people might wonder, why do we refer to extraterrestrials as a higher intelligence. What proof do we have that can show they are a higher intelligence, or if there are really even extraterrestrials at all. We usually think of extraterrestrials as little green men with big heads that visit or abduct people in their flying saucers (or U.
F. Os), leaving behind not a single trace of evidence that we, as the people of Earth, know of. For all we know, the aliens can be in the form of a virus, a bacteria, or maybe just a type of plant. We as a people tend to think that they are the higher intelligence, if there is a they, because they can visit us in their spaceships and send strange radio messages to us, which are both things that we can not do to them. But we have no idea at all if their intelligence greater than, equal to, or less than ours, once again, if they even exist. Unless youve been asleep for the last 50 years you may remember a little incident where an alleged alien spacecraft crashed into the desert near the town of Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947.
You might also recall the debate of whether or not an alien body was recovered from the supposed crash site. Just fairly recently tapes have surfaced revealing a shocking autopsy of the dead alien, and even more recently those tapes have been proved to be fake. You might bring to mind that once again there is no strong evidence that a crash ever even happened there, besides the fact that the government was and still is trying to hide something, probably a super top secret military weapons facility under disguise as a secret air force base. The government would do any thing to keep people from finding something like that out. As strong as the United States government is, they wouldnt be able to keep anything from they American public.
Even though there has been this whole incident with Roswell, the government is still trying to make contact with any sort of life out in space. We even sent out the Voyager II, which was just packed full of all kinds of information from Earth, hoping that some sort of extraterrestrial form of life might find it and make some use of it. Ever since man could write, he has been making recordings of the times when he believes aliens have visited. Dont you think that if aliens have been visiting us for thousands of years, that they would already know all the information that was sent up with Voyager II? How might human beings react to the discovery of life beyond Earth? The manner in which we first meet may determine the character of all our entire relations with another civilization.
One fact remains very obvious, and that is that we must first learn to communicate with ourselves successfully before we can begin to communicate with beings from another world, and we are a long way from achieving that. With each passing year, the probability of life in space increases, along with our capabilities for detecting it. More and more scientists feel that contact with other civilizations is no longer something beyond our dreams, but a natural event in history just waiting to happen. A very large percent of the people are against the beliefs that extraterrestrial life exists. In fact, there is a very logical explanation. When the question is asked, Is there intelligent life beyond planet Earth?
we must compare our answer from the Christian point of view by countering, Do you really want to know? While the scientific world is on a rampage in search for a common truth, the fact is, they are only listening with one ear. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is exploding with proof of super intelligent life of an extraterrestrial nature. Scripture shows countless interactions in the affairs of man, not by little, green, big headed men, but by super-human beings such as angels and demons, and an unearthly civilization beyond imagination, heaven.
It may seem a little hard to imagine that humanity is the beginning and the end of Gods creation. A couple questions that you might ask are, What about life on other planets? , and What if a UFO sighting is proven to be true? There are only two reasonable options. One is that demons are involved in a grand illusion.

The second option is that other planets truly are inhabited. For the sake of discussion, lets assume that the second option is true.
If an extraterrestrial were to discovered without a doubt, it would not affect our theology. It would be just one more thing that God intended for us to discover without Him having to have him tell us directly. Maybe in the process of reading (hearing) this, certain questions of your own judgment have entered your mind. If you believe there is extraterrestrial life out there, there is usually a lot of cloudiness that surrounds the evidence, a lot of assumptions, and a lot of questions beginning with the words what if. If you believe there is no extraterrestrial life beyond Earth, youll find that there is a lot of strong evidence based strongly on religious faith, but no real physical evidence. Even though I strongly believe in my opinion, I feel that we may never know who is right.
What if the earth is destroyed in the next few hundred years, just before we are about to stable upon the truth? What if there are, in fact, extraterrestrial lifeforms out there and they know everything we know about them and fear for their race and destroy us? It will always be there for us to wonder about and be tricked by. As for everyone else in this world, anything you believe to be real is as real as it could possibly be, even though it may not be real at all. Anyone can make up stories about what they think is right, but the truth is a lot harder to find.
