As you create your character write out the information on a TXT file to send to the STs and to keep as a reference for yourself.

A blank character sheet can be found at the end of the character creation portion, simply cut and paste the sheet onto another TXT Step 1: Closing your clan A vampire is a vampire no matter what. But like humans the Kindred separate themselves into groups called clans. Each clan has their own ways of looking at life (or unlike) as well as their own set of clan strength week nesses and in clan disciplines (powers of the Kindred). The first step in creating your character is to chose your clan from the list provided. It is recomended for newer players to research the clan or clans you are interested in playing.

The clans, their stereotype and their in clan Disciplines: Assimites The mysterious Saracens of the Middle East have perfected the art of the silent kill. (Celerity, Obfuscate, Quietus) Brujah (old clan) Philosophers, scholars and warriors, the fractious Zealots person their dream of a perfect society. (Celerity, Potence, Presence) Catiff (not a clan) The rare and luckless Candles with no clan are outcasts and disgraced. (any, except Thaumaturgy) Cappadocians Seeking the wisdom of the grave, the Grave robbers call upon the spirits of the dead for enlightenment. (Auspex, Fortitude, Mortis) Followers of Set Originally hailing from Egypt, the Serpents spread corruption and vice in their wake. (Obfuscate, Presence, Serpentis) Gangrel Wanderers and rustics, the Animals are closer to the beasts of the forest than to any of their Caine kin. (Animalism, Fortitude, Protean) Lasombra (old clan) Masters of darkness and shadows, the Magisters seek to controle mortal and vampire society alike. (Dominate, Fortitude, Presence) Brujah (new clan) Respecting no authority and acknowledging no leaders, the Rabble consider themselves free (Celerity, Potence, Presence) Lasombra (new clan) Puppet masters in the darkness, the Lasombra rule the Sabbat and controle the shadows. (Dominate, Obtenebration, Potence) Malkavian (new clan) Commonly perceived to be insane, the Kooks possess an uncanny vision and wisdom. (Auspex, Dominate, Obfuscate) Tzimisci (new clan) Called Fiends for good reason, the Tzimisci are noble yet cruelly inhuman. (Animalism, Auspex, Vicissitude) When you chose your clan mark it down on your character sheet as well as the disciplines listed for the clan. for further information on your clans specific flaw please feel free contact an ST for assistance. Step 2: Attributes Your attributes designate where your strengths and week nesses of your character. There are three catagories for your attributes, Physical, Social, and Mental. Here you must make the choice of what catagory will be your primary (good), your secondary (average), and your tertiary (pour).

Is your character more physical than social, is she more witty than gorgeous. First chose what catagory will be your primary attribute and distribute 7 points among the three attributes in that catagory. Next chose your secondary attribute and distribute 5 points among them. Final chose your tertiary and distribute 3 points among them.

Sample: Physical: (secondary) Social: (tertiary) Mental: (primary) Strength 2 (+ 1) Charisma 1 (+ 1) Perception 3 (+ 1) Dexterity 1 (+ 1) Manipulation 1 (+ 1) Intelligence 2 (+ 1) Stamina 2 (+ 1) Appearance 1 (+ 1) Wits 2 (+ 1) (the + 1 automatically is added to each character due to the character automatically having one point already in each attribute) Step 3: Abilities Abilities dominate what your character knows rather than what he is; they describe the things he has learned as opposed to the things he can naturally do. Three catagories of abilities, Talents (abilities gained through experience) Skills (abilities learned through training) and Knowledges (abilities learned through education), are again prioritised into primary, secondary and tertiary catagories. This time the primary catagory received 13 points, secondary 9 points and tertiary 5 points. Distribute your points among the abilities listed on the character sheet. Step 4: Disciplines Disciplines are the powers of the Kindred. Each clan has their own set of in clan Disciplines that come to them naturally through the lineage of their blood.

You have five points to distribute among the in clan discipline for your clan. Catiff having no clan have five points to distribute on any disciplines you wish (with the exception of Thaumaturgy) List of Disciplines: Animalism: Supernatural affinity with and control of animals. Auspex: Extrasensory perception, awareness and premonitions. Celerity: Supernatural quickness and reflexes. Chimers try: The ability to create illusions and hallucinations. Dementation: The ability to pass madness on to a victim.

Dominate: Mind controle practiced through the parking gaze. Fortitude: Unearthly toughness, even to the point of resisting fire and sunlight. Vicissitude: The Tzimisci art of flesh-crafting. If you are in need of further explanation of a discipline and its powers do not hesitate to ask an ST. Step 5: Generation A characters generation designates how far detached from Caine (the first vampire) he is. All players start out at 12 th generation but that lvl can be lowered through the use of freebie points as explained later on in the character creation.

Step 6: Freebie points At this point you have 20 points to distribute among any aspect of your character. Unfortunatly it is not as straightforward as it sounds. Each aria takes up a diffrent amounts of points to increase it one point. From the chart provided distribute your freebie points as you wish. Freebie Points: Cost: Attributes: 5 per lvl Abilities: 2 per lvl Disciplines: 7 per dot (can purchase disciplines not designated for your clan with freebie points) Generation: 3 to lower one generation (lowest generation possible is 6 th) Willpower: 1 per lvl Step 7: Blood and Willpower Blood is the main part of a Kindred's life.

It is used to survive, activate certain disciplines, to heal, and to create progeny. The blood pool of a kindred designates how many points of blood a kindred can hold within them. From the chart below find your characters Generation and mark down what his blood pool is. It is essential that you keep track of your blood expenditure during your gaming sessions. If you end up wattling yourself down to one point of blood your character will enter a blood funny and will do absolutly anything to get what he needs, even if it meen's striking down anyone in your way in an uncontrollable furry. Willpower is essential for controlling your character, especially when you are in the need to resist urges and defending agent the effects of Dominate, Dementation and when using Thaumaturgy.

Again from the list provided locate your characters Generation and mark down the # of willpower points you have on your sheet. You can purchase more willpower with freebie points but not more than the max lvl of willpower allowed for your generation.
