The high accident rate in Israel has always been a problem. People die in vehicle accidents every day, but our government to be more interested in other issues, and fails to solve this problem. Its a pity that they dont realize the severity of it. Lives could be saved if the members of our government would stop being so incredibly self-involved with themselves and would get up off their high horse, stop admiring their paychecks, open their eyes and do something. It seems that more than half the Israeli drivers couldnt tell a stop sign from a parking meter and many seem to be completely color-blind many dont seem to realize that a red light means stop and a green one means go. These people are sad.
These are the very people that cause accidents on the road. In order to lower the accident rate on Israels roads, several rules and regulations must be determined: First and foremost, Drivers Ed exams should be more difficult and a bit more complex. 30 multiple-choice, fairly easy questions can be a cinch to answer and the chances of a complete idiot achieving a passing grade on the test (26 correct answers or more out of the 30 questions) are way too high.
