Have I ever rebelled against tradition? Sure I have. There were many occasions where I just wanted to go against everything and do what I wanted to do. That is a part of life, doing what you want to do. There are certain things people and society want you to believe, and I am well aware of these things. Here is what I rebelled against.
It happened just recently. All my life I had been taught the ways of the religion. I was taught how it was right to believe in God and Jesus and practice a good religion. My parents are Catholics, however they and many other people have religion, they just dont practice it as much as they should.
If you believe in something, you go for it, you dont sometimes practice. As I was saying, all my life I had been taught these things, which I now consider to be truly and accurately false. The whole fact of believing in God or any types of gods seems idiotic in my view. Im not saying all people who practice religion are dumb, it is just that people have instilled a dumb idea into their minds. Religion, God, and gods were all an idea brought up by someone. Look back to ancient Greek mythology.
They believed in many different types of gods and monsters. In their time, they really and truly believed it. If someone were to believe in that today, people would see them as being mentally ill. Who is to say that Christianity wont be viewed the same way in the future as If there is a God, why would he create a huge vast universe that is so big, we cant even comprehend its size, and make us the only ones living in it? In Christianity beliefs, they we are the only beings in the universe.
Untrue. In the bible, it states that there is no such thing as evolution, because God made us the way we are. Evolution has been proven numerous times. Even the pope said he believes in evolution. See, Im a realist. I believe what is believable.
I believe facts and what is there. I really truly believe that alot of people are wasting away their lives practicing religion. In the past, you had to believe in religion or you were killed. That is not so much the case today. People are learning to think for themselves, that is why there are more people like me who dont believe in God. We There really was not a vivid turning point for me.
It all kind of went slowly and smoothly. It was all just thinking realistically. If there really was a turning point, Id have to say that it was when I was watching George Carlin. He said, If you dont accept God, he will send you to hell where you will rot and burn for all of eternity... but he loves you. That quote is the thing that really got me thinking about it.
So if there was a turning point, I guess you could Structured religion is one of the worst things that could have happened to the world. It leads people to think the same way, believe the same way. People need to learn to think for themselves for a change. If youve ever wondered about certain things, look into it.
Dont believe it just because your religion says it is true. Believe what you believe. Now through a little bit of reading, I have learned that there are many many Atheists living today. Alot of them famous too.
They live good everyday lives just like any Christian or catholic, except they dont have a love for something that isnt there and doesnt exist. Bibliography:
