The Mahabarata In the story the Mahabarata the Pandava's represent the forces of good. The Karavas represent the forces of evil. For example, Duryodhana gets Sakuni to cheat in order to defeat the Pandava's. The Pandava's lose everything including Draupadi.

The Karavas try to undress Draupadi. They also try to murder the Pandava's during their 13 years in exile. The Karavas were going to kidnap Krishna in order to win the war. The Pandava's were good. They had respect for their enemy's in the war.

They were wise and followed their dharma. The Mahabarata In the story the Mahabarata, Krishna plays the human form of the god Vinu. He plays an advisory to Arjuna in the war. He is on the side of the Pandava's.

The reason he is on the Pandava's is that they represent good dharma. Krishna needs them to win in order to keep good dharma going. The Mahabarata The Mahabarata is filled with various mythological characters. For example, the diamond of the forest (eat human flesh) Bhishma (decides when he will die) the woman that Bhishma rejected (dies and before she died swears she will not rest until Bhishma dies) the old man in the mountain (tricked into giving Yudhisthira a secret weapon) the old man in the snowy mountains (Arjuna goes to see to get magic weapons). The Mahabarata I think Sakuni meant that life is a game of chance that can be mastered and manipulated. I personally do not agree with this statement.

The reason is we all have to make choices in live, regardless if they are the choices are right or wrong. A good choice may take longer, but a bad choice isnt going to help. It may work for a little while but that choice will come back to haunt you. The Mahabarata The essence of the message delivered by Krishna to Arjuna during the final battle was very important.

The message was telling Arjuna the meaning of life. It told him that nobody dies there body may, but their soul lives forever. This message was called the Bhagavad Gita. The message allowed Arjuna to fight. It made him unafraid The Mahabarata In the story the Mahabarata dharma represents ones path or destiny. It plays a very important role in the story.

The Pandava's represent good dharma and the Karavas represent bad dharma. This is why the Pandava's must profile, and win the war. Drona represents bad dharma. His path in life was not to be a warrior; instead he was supposed to be a peaceful priest.

This is why he is killed in the war. Krishna represents good dharma. He follows his dharma and as a result dies a peaceful death. Dharma is a metaphor in the story. It means one must take the path one sets for himself. If you try to change your dharma you will be punished eventually.

The Mahabarata The Mahabarata is a religious story. It costs of two different groups of brothers. The two groups are the Pandava's and the Karavas. Both of the sets of brothers are cousins which is a very important point. The Pandavas family costs of Kent (the mother) Yudhisthira (eldest born to be king) Korea (Great Warrior) Bhishma (strongest man in the world) Arjuna (born to be ultimate warrior) Nakula and Sahadeva (twin brothers represent tolerance and wisdom) and the last of the Pandava's is Draupadi (Wife of the five Pandavas brothers).

Then, there are the Karavas, Dhitarashtra (blind king Uncle of the Pandava's) Gandahari (wife to Dhitarashtra, mother to Karavas, and Aunt to Pandava's) Duryodhana (Eldest son of the Karavas, represents chaos) Dussasana (younger brother of Karavas) Sakuni (Uncle of the Karavas, master of the game of dice). Finally, we have the people in the middle of both brothers. Krishna (human form of the god Vinu) Bhishma (tall advisory to both pair of brothers) Drona (Teacher to both pairs of brothers) Aswathaman (son of Drona). The Story is about two pairs of brothers that both want control of the kingdom. To solve this problem Dhitarashtra gives the Pandava's a piece of land to start their separate kingdom. Years go by and the Pandava's have built a successful kingdom.

The Karavas get worried. (They think the Pandava's are going to take over their kingdom). The Karavas come up with an idea to challenge the Pandava's at a game of dice. Arjuna has to play Sakuni at the dice game. Arjuna keeps betting and losing.

Sakuni cannot lose for he is a cheater. The last bet made is for 13 years in exile (hid away in the forest where nobody can find you if they do find you before your 13 years are up you will start again. ). Arjuna loses the Pandavas family must stay in exile for 13 years. Every year they become stronger and stronger. After that they begin a battle for control of the kingdom.

Before the war starts Arjuna is afraid, Krishna delivers to him a message called the Bhagavad Gita (the meaning of life) this allowed Arjuna to be able to fight. Well the war goes on and all the Karavas brothers die. All the Pandavas brothers live except for the eldest Yudhisthira. The Pandavas brothers win. The reason they win is because they follow good dharma (says are life is already set for us we must take the path made). Bibliography:
