Humanitarian Intervention Intro: After 9 / 11 attacks the world community was faced with the choice of whether to stay and wait for another attack to happen and only then to retaliate or to make the preemptive strike and help the world community stay untouched by the threat of terror. The first world community currently spends billions of dollars on the improvement of its economies and currently cannot afford any outside threat that compromises the lives of millions of free people because of some Muslim (and other) extremists. In the following essay I am going to state pro international community humanitarian intervention that should keep the security around the globe and make the world a safer place to live. Body: Afghanistan. The first good example is Afghanistan. The Soviet Union entered Afghanistan in 1979 with the attempt to establish communist there.

The soviets could not conquer Afghanistan partly because of the US support of the region and partly because of the terrorist organizations that worked inside the USSR (Crumb, 78). After the USSR collapse, the terrorist organization shifted its major attention to the first world countries of Western Europe and the USA. The terrorist operation against the US and its allies in Africa (Congo, Libya) as well as in Indonesia and Israel started to get large scale threatening the main concepts of democracy across the globe as well as posing hurdles to the development of the free trade in these important regions in the world (Stephenson, 58). The US attack on Afghanistan that harbored the terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda with Osama bin Laden (Perelman, 129). The US attack to destroy the terrorist camps there was justified by the utilitarian principles of justice because it provided peace and security to the world community by destroying the terrorist camps on the territory of Afghanistan. Such act certainly contributes to the justification of the whole principle of humanitarian intervention in the countries that belong to the axis of evil (Crumb, 80).

Iraq. Iraq is another country that the US freed from the totalitarian regime of Saddam Hussein and allowed the Iraqi people engage in free trade that would be mutually beneficial for all countries across the globe rather than to spend millions of dollars on the development of the weapons of mass destruction that would compromise the security of the region and the whole world that dealt with Iraq (Perelman, 132). Currently people of Iraq despite various difficulties have a higher standard of living then under the regime of Hussein. North Korea.

North Korea is another country that is currently under the constant watch of the USA and its democratic allies. The country currently strives to develop the weapons of mass destruction and the means to deliver it to the USA. It is apparent that this country will not be able to conquer the USA yet its ability to harm the US infrastructure once again poses dangers to the US community and all those who support freedom (Stephenson, 62). The US abilities to trade the non-proliferation of North Korea for US humanitarian goods was the first step to assure security. Yet the country does not want to accept security and still strives to develop weapons to threaten the world community. Therefore, the humanitarian intervention into this region should be advisable (Crumb, 83).

Conclusion: In conclusion I would like to say that the humanitarian intervention is certainly justified by the world community safety and prosperity that results it the creation of safe free trade areas, the universal voting rights for all people in the given country and non-proliferation of the weapons of mass destruction in the given region.
