Solution for unemployment. The problem of unemployment has always existed. With the advent of manufacture where the employees had to produce the goods for a determined payment, and the capital was not owned by them, the problem of unemployment has arisen. There have always been rich and poor, but for the first time the idea of unemployment came into existence when owners of the instruments of production started to hire workers. The workers then could be employed and unemployed by the owner. As the manufacture started in Europe, in the 15 - 16 -th centuries, here we can find the most common examples of the unemployment problem.

Italy was the country where the first manufactures emerged. Then the technological progress went all around Europe. Britain or England at that time was very progressive country. The machines started their invasion on people, taking their salaries and their work places. One machine could replace ten or more workers, and that meant these ten workers were redundant.

In fact, they were dismissed. Their families starved. Therefore, the problem of unemployment arose. We know: if there is a problem, there is always a solution for this problem.

The solution was the Luditte movement. The unemployed people saw the solution in wrecking the machines. They thought the machines were the root of all evil. However, they were mistaken.

This was proved in the course of history. The Luditte movement was suppressed and the unemployment problem still was not solved. The human thought was developing and unemployed people found a new solution: to take theirs from their employees. The French Revolution and Russian Revolution showed us that taking money from one pocket and placing it to another does not change the situation. Although the USSR claimed that, there is not any unemployment in its country, the unemployment still existed. Creating thousands of new work places did not solve the problem, because nobody wanted to work hard for a poor salary.

The United States, one of the most developed countries in the world also experienced unemployment. The big corporations hiring thousands of people created many thousands work places. Nevertheless, when they experienced problems or went bankrupt, the number of unemployed was calculated also in thousands. The Great Recession was followed by smaller recessions and even when there is not any recession, there is always freedom of choice: some people prefer to be unemployed and to look for a better job. Here we come to another unemployment problem, found mainly in developed countries: the unemployment benefit paid to unemployed helps them to live without experiencing hard times. This situation became a disaster in Germany where the number of unemployed is measured in millions.

As we see, up to the present the humanity has not found any solution for the problem of unemployment. However, there is still hope that somebody may find the third course, different from capitalism or socialism. I leave this task for the future generations, meanwhile, let me make some suggestions concerning the problem of unemployment. My idea is: we need to give more stimulation for the unemployed.

It often happens that unemployment waits for us at the door of our school graduation. It is rather difficult for a young person to find a good place of work. The advice career centers are helpful but that is not enough. We need to create some kind of opportunity when the student can go to any work he wants, any company or firm, just to work there for a year. Then the company must decide whether it needs this worker, if so, he continues to work there.

If the company does not want him, he may go to another one, also for a year, and so on. There may be some conditions, for example, the students must work only in their field. If they choose other career, then it is a regular basis. Imagine how much experience he or she would require! Certainly, this young person must be paid very well during his trial period, maybe even more than regular workers.

It lasts only a year and then if he stays, he will get a regular salary. If we start from the school students, we will no more have the unemployment problem of older generations. However, there may be some objections to this solution. There are already many such-like programs for the students. Some companies propose employment to the students when they are still studying. When they graduate, they go to work to these companies and get a warm welcome.

The companies may even pay for their studying. In fact, this variant is widely used in Japan. The results are very encouraging. The argument for this objection is that these companies in many cases take care of brilliant students but forget about the average students. They also deserve employment. The equal rights, thats what this objection lacks.

Let us return to the first solution. Simple as it seems from the first look, it is not so. First, who will pay for this? The government or the companies? Or some other organization? To answer this question, let us think of the source of money.

If this solution wipes out the problem of unemployment, then money received as an unemployment benefit may go for this purpose. However, this does not give all the money needed for this solution. There is plenty of work for financiers. The government should be the main source of funding this program but not the only one. As usually, the money is a serious obstacle but there is always a solution. It is my belief that this solution of the unemployment problem may have its advantages and drawbacks.

However, any plan has its weak points. The only way to see whether it works is to try it. The problem of unemployment exists and there is still no solution found. So why not to try something new?
