An Argument Against Same Sex Marriage (1) We live in time when many socio-political policies in Western countries are being based on the principle of metaphysical insanity. The legalization of same-sex marriages in Americas progressive states, such as Massachusetts, can serve as a good example. People, who promote this practice, as such that help establishing social tolerance, do not understand the social function of marriage. The reason why men and women get married is to legitimize their sexual relations, which has a very concrete social purpose the birth of a healthy offspring. In her study The Case against Same-Sex Marriages, Margaret Somerville is making a very good point, when she says: Reproduction is the fundamental occurrence on which, ultimately, the future of human life depends. That is the primary reason why marriage is important to society.
In our highly individualistic societies, we tend to look only at its importance to individuals. That is necessary, but not sufficient in deciding on the future of marriage (Somerville). Therefore, same-sex marriages cannot be considered as socially productive. If two gays or lesbians want to be married, they need to understand that this has an immediate social implication.
By proclaiming that their love to each other deserves to be legitimized, same-sex couples prove their inability to be part of society. In other words, they consciously choose in favor of anti-social behavior. In its turn, anti-social behavior, in normal countries, is punishable by the law. Even in America, people who prefer to steal, as the mean to make living, usually end up in jail, because their strive towards instant gratification is harmful to society, as whole.
Gays and lesbians are much worse it is not that they just refuse to lead a healthy lifestyle, but they actively strive to promote it, which spiritually corrupts young people. Homosexuals are nothing but ultimate hedonists, who do not care about anything or anybody. They consider their mental pathology as something that needs to be celebrated. While often relying on social assistance, as the source of income, they never get tired of whining that their special rights are being violated. Unfortunately, because of realities of modern living, many people are being born with variety of mental and physical pathologies. However, mentally retarded individuals, who pose danger to society, are being locked away in mental institutions.
This is nothing but a form of social protection. The reason why these people are being kept in cages, despite their will, is that their mental state does not allow them to have any rights to begin with. Why should homosexuals be an exemption? What gives them a right so consider themselves very special and to demand from society a recognition of their right to get married? It has been proven long ago that homosexuality is a form of psychological deviation; even though today such claims are being branded as unscientific by the same people who seriously believe that Ancient Egypt was a part of Great Black Civilization. In other words, homosexuality is nothing but illness.
As such, it cannot be celebrated, especially with the mean of entering in marital relations. (2) If same-sex couples only wanted to be allowed to marry, it would not be quite as bad. However, as practice shows, they often view marriage as something that would allow them to adopt children. They know that they cannot change, but they also know that they can change others. This is why, there can be no doubt that same-sex couples will try to turn adopted children into little copies of themselves. It is needless to say that no normal society can tolerate this. The notion of physical or mental degeneracy and sickness implies expansion.
Cancer cells can only exist in the process of corrupting healthy cells. This is why the spread of cancer cannot be contained or localized. It is whether cancer is being allowed to spread, when it is only the matter of time, before it kills the body, or whether it is being surgically removed at early stage of development. There is no third option. If society allows homosexuals to marry each other and to promote their lifestyle as something absolutely normal, then this society will loose its integrity and will be destroyed.
This already started to happen to America. The more we are being taught how to respect differences, the more this country is turning into a Third World nation. We do not want to suggest in this paper that homosexuals are completely worthless to society. If our politicians cared about well-being of this nation as much as they do about their prospects of being elected for the second term, the same-sex couples, instead of being allowed to marry, would handed out shovels and told to do something useful, for a change.
It would help them to modify their outlook on life, because engaging in physical activities on fresh air is much more enjoyable than experiencing a dubious pleasure out of being violated from behind, especially if grease is in short supply.
