EFFECTS OF TELEVISION VIOLENCE ON CHILDREN Television is at the heart of American culture: its power and influence are unparalleled. Approximately two-thirds of Americans report that they get most of their information about the world from TV. (Section I: Watching, Reading and Listening to the News). Though influential, this phenomenon is relatively new. In 1956, only 4. 6 million homes in the United States had television sets and no programming was available during many hours every day. In the popular commercial, the setting shows a Roman Coliseum where three female warriors, Britney Spears, Beyonce Knowles and Pink, are supposed to do battle with animals for the entertainment of the Emperor played by Enrique Iglesias.

Subliminal effect is about breaking out from the norm and not accepting what society has given.
