Critical thinking can be described as a quality of good thinking processes and as one of the types of thinking. Critical thinking is concerned with evaluation of general ideas, processes, experiences or objects. Critical thinking is an integral part of everyday life of the students. This type of thinking develops such skills in students as know how and when to question, how to recognize when more information is needed and the type of knowledge which is required, know how to find and organize information, and how one can generate and evaluate a number of alternatives to human problems. Flow means consistent and reasonable development of thinking model. Under this model every judgement or assumption follows a set pattern (which does not fluctuate as in the case of creative thinking) and, in some part, is conclusive as to the previous steps of the process.
Critical thinking, as many people understand it, is a purposeful, self-regulatory judgment which results in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, as well as explanation of the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations upon which that judgment is based. Educating good critical thinkers means working toward this ideal. It combines developing critical thinking skills with nurturing those dispositions which consistently yield useful insights and which are the basis of a rational and democratic ideas.
