Elder brothers or sisters are a great inspiration to their younger brothers and sisters, and that is what my sister was to me. I had one younger brother, and one elder sister, we all lived together with my parents and grandma. Both of my parents worked all week, so my elder sister took care of us. I always looked up to her as an ideal, and I knew whenever I needed her she would be there for me. She was my inspiration, my sister, and my best friend. I loved her and admired her because she was loving, caring, and intelligent.
She helped raise me and she was my world, the world that she helped to form and perceive. However, life is not always just, and I know that for sure. My sister died when she was 27 years old in the car accident, and that was the worst thing that ever happened to me and my whole family. I could not even believe it, I thought that we would live as a happy family forever, and my sister was an inalienable part of that very family. When she died in that accident, I seemed to lose interest in everything, I just walked around and did not really know how I would live my life without a person that helped me throughout my hardest time and was willing to sacrifice her own time to make sure that I was doing well. Although she died, memories of her will live forever in our family, I will remember my sister as long as I live.
My sister was a person with a big heart, her love for the family made everyone love her. My grandma was really old and unable to walk by herself. My sister took care of our grandma by giving her medication on time, checking her blood pressure, and keeping track of her physical record. One time my grandma had a heart attack and we thought we would lose her but my sister took her to the hospital and stayed with her all night. Next day when grandma came back home she said that she was alive because my sister, her love and hard work kept her alive. She even took care of our younger brother, who was always a trouble.
She made sure that he did not spend too much time playing and finished his homework on time. She also liked helping disabled people, and that is why she volunteered at a rehab institution near our home. People at rehab loved her so much that they waited for her on weekends because she loved spending time with them and entertaining them by telling inspiring stories. Overall she was a very lovable and devoted person and I loved her very much.
She was not only loving but also very caring; she cared the most about mom, by helping her with household work. On my birthday she cooked all the food and also decorated the house. She always said that caring about a person was the best way to express your love. She helped dad in his business by maintaining his accounts and helped me with my studies and because of that I never had to take any tutoring. She cared about our family very much.
She was working for her certified Financial Accountant Degree. Her college tuition was fully paid through a scholarship from the college. She had been on the Deans List and an honor student. She worked part time as an intern, and people she worked with truly admired her because of her ability to meet all the deadlines and come up with new and interesting ideas. She was a very outgoing person, therefore all the people around her could always talk to her if they needed some help or a good advice.
