The liberal philosophy is the one I agree with the most. Liberals believe that the federal government should protect individual liberties and promote the general welfare. Contemporary liberalism is rooted in the Declaration of Independence as well as social and economic programs that began in the 1930 's and extended into the 1960 's. Today's liberal tends to value individual rights and to be wary of restrictions on personal behavior. Equality is very important to liberals. Liberals believe that everyone should be treated equally.

Economic freedom needs special emphasis because intellectuals in particular have a strong bias against regarding this aspect of freedom as important. Libertarianism can trace their ideas back to the Declaration of Independence. The libertarians believe that dependence on government has devalued the traditional family values. Having more families depend more on welfare only cause people to believe that they can't survive on their own. This is especially true if they haven't worked for many years and have no education or skills.

On issues involving individual behavior and civil right's the libertarians's ide with the liberals. They believe that individuals should be free to make decisions about their own lives, even to harm themselves if they wish. David Boaz believes that government actions like these are censorship and should be condemned. Conservatives focus on issues of personal morality or behavior, such as family breakdown or crime. Many conservatives like Sam Brownback believe that Medicaid Welfare are major problems that should be cut.
Most of the money spent by the government is used on Welfare when it should be used towards paying off the National Debt. Also by cutting these government programs the taxes will be cut. The conservatives believe that sex education and family planning increases the use of contraceptives, and encourages higher rates of sexual activity, teen pregnancies, and sexually transmitted diseases.
They believe when women have access to abortions they are more likely to risk becoming pregnant. Sex education by conservatives is believed to be corrupting family values. They associated sex-education with: increases in premarital sex, teenage pregnancy, births out of wedlock, welfare dependency, and abortion. Liberals believe that government birth control corrupts youth. Many people agree with individual rights to a certain extant, I believe a woman has the right to choose because only she will have to deal with the consequences. Some people don't agree with a women's right to choose, it is just a personal or religious opinion. Many people believe that government programs like Medicaid and Welfare need to be cut, but not for the right reasons. Not all government programs should be but cut many children in America are going to bed hungry; not everyone on the system is abusing it. Sex is something that is all over the media; it is something that is not avoidable by small children.
Since many parents don't talk to their children about sex I believe that the children should at least get the facts.
