Ever since I've come to college my whole life has changed. Living on my own is fun but I miss being back home. I hate having to do my own laundry and clean my room, I miss my mom doing those things for me. I've made many new friends that I hang out with everyday and we " ve become extremely close. I think I like them so much because they remind me of my friends from back home. The work is also a lot harder than high school and it is very stressful.
Once I finish all the work that I have to do I like to party to get my mind off of it. Our school is not a very big party school but when there are parties to go to they are usually pretty good. The party nights during the week are usually on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Usually the main party nights at college are on Thursdays but since our school is a suitcase school our main party night is Tuesday.
The parties to go to are either in the village, Park Avenue or in the suites. The real good parties are at the basketball house and football house but they only have parties when they win, which isn't very often. The types of things that go on at these parties are fights, alcohol and drinking games, loud music, dancing, socializing, smoking, rape, drugs, sex, drunk driving, and police. When I got to my first party it was nothing like high school parties. There was so Major 2 many people that I couldn't even walk and I lost my friends within the first few minutes.
Everywhere I looked there were beautiful girls and alcohol to drink. When I finally made it inside there was a bar and girls walking around serving shots. Two of the more popular games at parties are beer pong and flip cup. They are fun games to play and keep everyone entertained.
There is also a DJ playing music and a lot of people dancing. The backyards are usually where people just hang out and socialize, smoke cigarettes, and do drugs. That's where the fights usually happen because when people get drunk they get something called "beer muscles" and they like to start fights with any kid that looks at them or their girlfriend the wrong way. A few of the bad things that happen at the parties are rapes, drugs, and drunk driving. Guys try to get girls drunk by buying them drinks and shots so they will be able to rape them later on in the night. Some guys even slip girls pills in their drinks to make them pass out.
There are also many accidents that happen at these parties because people get drunk and stupid and they decide to go out and drive. When things like this happen it ruins the parties. When these parties happen it shows what people truly value. When people get drunk the truth usually comes out and it shows how people are. All that college students care about is getting drunk, high, and laid. They only care about themselves and having a good time.
Their values mean nothing to them when they are drunk or high that's why they go and do whatever they want. Like when they drink and drive they aren't thinking about what could happen to them, all they care about at the time is where they " re going. Major 3 The things that are most important to college students are different with each student. For the type that likes to drink and get high all they care about is partying. All they want to do all the time is get high that they pick that over their friends. They don't care about going to class and doing their work.
But there are a few exceptions. The other types of students are the ones that only care about getting good grades. They are the ones that are usually on a scholarship or paying for school themselves. Getting the best education is all they care about. When I party I just care about having a good time with my friends. I don't try to hurt girls on purpose or other things I shouldn't.
My values are important to me because that's the way my parents raised me.
