I read an autobiography about Dwayne Johnson. The book states that Dwayne Johnson was born on May 2, 1972 in Hayward, California. His fathers name is Rocky Johnson, and his mothers name is Ata Johnson. He is an only child. His grandfathers name is Peter Maiva, and his grandmothers name is Leah Maiva. His father being a pro wrestler caused Dwayne to attend many different elementary schools.
He went to Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. While in high school he didnt have a job, but he played football. He was named high-school all American by USA Today. After graduating from high school on February 14, 1989 Dwayne signed with the University of Miami to play football. At the University of Miami he majored in Criminology. He graduated from Miami with a GPA of 2. 9.
While in college he still didnt have a job. He and some teammates went out to club called Triangle Club, there he found his future wife Dany. He and Dany got married on May 3, 1972. Dwayne and Danny have chose not to have any kids yet. Dwayne has accomplished many great things in his life. In my next few paragraphs I will focus on three of Dawns most important achievements.
Dwayne Johnsons first major accomplishment was how he became All-American football player in high school. First, he was the captain of his team. Next, Dwayne was named one of the top fifty gridiron warriors in the country. Secondly, with his great playing and the heart for football in him allowed Dwayne to go to a great University. Another one of Dawns most important achievements was being able to play for the University of Miami. First, when he got there he was able to play more then any other freshman.
During his football days he was a star defensive lineman for the Hurricanes. He contributed greatly to the teams National Championships in 1989 and 1991. After the season of 1993, he made a few All-American teams. Then finally he got to go into the draft for the NFL, but he never made it. The most significant achievement was making it into the WWF. First, Dwayne took the ring name of Rocky Maiva, a tribute to his father and grandfather.
He made his World Wrestling Federation debut in November of 1996. Rocky's first appearance was especially notable, since it was at the Survivor Series, an almost unheard of place for a rookie to try and make his mark. Next, amazingly rock not only survived, he actually managed to win his match at Survivor Series, immediately capturing the attention of the awestruck crowd. The third generation superstar continued to rack up wins, eventually earning him a shot the Intercontinental Championship an opportunity that the Rock made the most of, winning the prestigious title! After winning the belt the Rock would later go on to fight in some of WWF most memorable battles.
At the young age of 27, the Rock had become a three-time champion-a feat no other superstar has accomplished. The Rocks accomplishments have made me understand that getting something out of life is not an easy task. Hard work and dedication allowed the Rock to succeed in life. His struggle to fit in at school must have been hard. Meeting and getting along with new friends is never easy. But through the years he learned that striving for what he wanted to accomplish took great will power.
